ok, there's a big difference between a "BEST OF" and a "GREATEST HITS".
to me, implying that something is the "BEST OF" means that the band has sat down, and hand picked one by one, all of the songs on the release, because they feel they are the songs that best represent what they're all about.
a "GREATEST HITS" should be comprised only of "HITS"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
tby that definition, nothing from the EP should appear on the release, because none of those songs were really big "hits" (also the band themselves don't seem to be too fond or proud of the ep, so i doubt anything from it will be included on the release, i like the ep though). IMO, only singles should be on a "Greatest Hits" disc, therefore it should look something like this:
Disc 1
1. Blow At High Dough
2. NOIS
3. Boots Or Hearts
4. 38 Years Old
5. Three Pistols
6. Twist My Arm
7. Little Bones
8. Locked In The Trunk Of A Car
9. Courage
10. Fully Completely
11. Fifty-Mission Cap
12. At The Hundredth Meridian
13. Greasy Jungle
14. Thugs
15. Grace Too
16. Nautical Disaster
with maybe "Looking For A Place To Happen", "Cordelia", "Scared", or "Double Suicide" making an appearance as a representitive of the lesser known tracks
Disc 2
1. Gift Shop
2. Springtime In Vienna
3. Ahead By A Century
4. 700 ft. Ceiling
5. Fireworks
6. Something On
7. Bobcaygeon
8. Poets
9. My Music @ Work
10. Lake Fever
11. Freak Turbulence
12. Silver Jet
13. The Darkest One
14. IAGLIYDW
15. It Can't Be Nashville Everynight
16. Vaccination Scar
with "Heaven Is A Better Place Today", "Summer Is Killing Us", "Silver Road" or "Black Day In July" rounding out the rest of the disc.
either way, i won't be buying it as i already own all of their albums and it would be a waste of my $, BUT, lots of people will buy this disc, because i know for a fact there are tons of people out there with one or two or maybe even a few of the hip's albums, that would love to get their hands on something like this, especially if it was a disc with all of their singles. like it or not, but that's what the majority of the people towards whom this disc would be marketed to want to hear, they want the songs they know and love from the radio or tv. anyway, that's my 2 cents, that took waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long to post
