Bandwidth is not a huge issue. A few extra posts are not going to put anyone in the poor house. The problem is still a small one.

As for the search function, it is not perfect. I have no idea how the search ahlgrims work, if I did I would try and make this better. We will just have to live with it. If this going to become a issue I will just disable the search. I ask you to just let the mods deal with the posts.

If you are searching for something you know is hip content just choose to show results from Tragically Hip Discussion. Also if you are looking for say Mic Stand, try putting "Mic Stand", you will get different results.

I've had an epiphany! I finally figured out my major problem with the search feature. I would always use "and" in my search, but I'd still end up with tons of results. Today I tried using "AND" all in capitals, and it completely narrowed down my search. That's the ticket...use "AND" rather than "and".

Lance, you really need to put that in the actual search feature that using the "AND" function is case sensitive. I bet so many search problems would be relieved.

That is really weird that the search feature is case sensitive. I never new that. I thought any boolean searches were normally case "insensitive" to help the algorithms work faster? Ah well...good tip Billy!
