The show actually sounds and looks very good, especially being from 1993.
And on the outdated VHS format.
Damn, already outdated.
The whole song, not even counting the extended, jamming, beginning, had a new life to it. It was really cool.
Also, from watching this video, I can see just how much The Hip have evolved over the years.
Most of the songs they played this show were almost like they were straight off of the album. Start. Finish. That is it.
The songs they play in concert now have something special added to them, maturity maybe.
Oh yeah, during this show, they also played that little song Gord Sinclair wrote when he was 9. Get Back Again.

I was at that show. Let's see, I think that was the second night of the two-day show at the Markham Fairgrounds -- man, it's hard to believe that was 11 years ago. What a great weekend. Drove my '84 Chevette up that weekend, a great vibe. Never pitched our tent. Molson beer reps rollin' through the rows of tents chuckin' Canadian cans out of the back of their can in ARA beer cozies.
Midnight Oil almost stole those two nights out from under the Hip that weekend. They were unbelievable.
Haven't been to a festival show the Hip have been at since that came close to the majesty of those two fun-filled nights. Unbelievable.

I have the 'Hengelo' bootleg and they do 38 yrs.
It's pretty good overall but I think Paul plays electric guitar on it (like he does on Scared on the Live CD).
It's a good recording also, I would have thought that most of you here would have heard it/traded it, no?

When I was playin music we covered 38 yrs old and opiated.... both went over real well. No one knew of the Tragically Hip so the purpose of 'covering' the tunes was pretty much just for us. Still, we introduced Them the best we could. The good ol' USA..
sneak a few originals in by saying.....here's an unreleased old tune from the tragically hip... Try that? (besides...what comes around goes around....)eh?

I heard it, actually it was in 91 in Jacksonville FL, the were the opening act for Eric Johnson, I think I was the only person there to hear the hip. The finsihed playing some tune and I yelled out, 38 YEARS OLD!!!!, Gordie look in my direction, and said this is on request and they played it. One of the best times I had at a concert. (besides singing in the mic with Gordie that is!!)
