I still cannot understand, for the life of me, what leads to this kind of nationalistic chauvenism in regards to beer.

Perhaps the fact that American mass-market beer is even worse than Canadian mass-market beer?

Well if you're basing beer chauvenism on opinions about mass-market brands, then you're in trouble from the get-go.

And i still i don't know if I can agree.

If I am as objective as I can be, Molson Golden is probably "better" than any American "mass-market" beer, that is, if you don't count Sam Adams' Boston Lager as a "mass-market" beer. I don't consider it to be...anything billed as a "craft beer" doesn't fit the bill as "mass-market", but doesn't the BBC brew more Boston Lager than some of the Canadian "mass market" brews? I wonder.

But Molson Canadian, on the other hand, is as poor as it gets (no offense to VioletLightHeron, who was kind enough to snag a couple for us from that mobbed bar while we stepped outside during intermission at the Danforth show -- any beer is better than no beer!) I'll take A Miller high Life over a Molson Canadian ANY DAY...or Labatt for that matter.

I don't think I've ever had Sleeman, so I can't talk about that. Moosehead is pretty good...if you like skunk (and I do).

I also know to discuss beer on the new beer thread, so I'm not going to tell you that I agree with your beer assessments approximately 100%, or confess my liking for Sam Adams, or anything like that. That's because I can follow instructions, unlike some people I could mention -- but won't, because I'm so agreeable.

Aaahhhh, a good choice! Oh, and thanks for the tip about Premier! I'll be in the area tomorrow (Delaware store) so I'll see if they have some of those suggestions (Steam Whistle from TO!).
