Anyone else gotten into Lost? I was hooked last year, but now with the 1st season DVD and year two unfolding every week it has taken over as my latest addiction. There are dozens of forums dedicated to the show....

So, let's have your best guess as to what the f%$* is going on on that island?

I still think the lostaways are/were a part of some experiment that the goverment((s) Worldly and otherwise) are trying to cover up. There is a clear indication that coincidences (numbers) occured prior to the crash that links each of these people in some way but your guess is as good as mine.

My girlfriend got me into it actually, my 3rd episode tonight. I don't know what's going on...they're wandering around and find this underground bunker where this guys takes a few people hostage? I don't quite get it..and those flashbacks are retarded..

It's nice to see charlie back on t.v though.

Oh my god! I got sooo excited when I saw the numbers in the thread name Smile I'm acutally going to a LOST party tonight (we're total nerds!)

My friend pointed my out to this CRAZY website talking about a book that was written forever ago that is somewhat based on the numbers from LOST.
Go here if you want a crazy theory about the numbers:

Also, go here if you want to hear what Walt said last week when Shannon saw him in the jungle (it's reversed):
http://waltreversed.ytmnd.com/
So this is the reverse of what we heard him say last week... and it's crazy.

Alright that's it for me. Don't want to come off as TOO much of a dork. Smile

The damage is done...don't worry, I'm right there with you...and what ever you do...don't touch the button! the button is bad!

Thanks for the links...there are many leyers to this show that I don;t think the writers know what is going to happen.

Apparently (and this makes me excited) they actually DO know what they're doing. There are three guys who know the story for the show and have the whole season pretty much planned out already! I think that's awesome because I am/was an Alias fan as well, and they REALLY messed up that show because they didn't know what they were doing. They made it up as they went along, and wrote themselves into a corner... so I'm glad that LOST apparently has a better direction and will hopefully still be good two seasons from now. Smile

I freakin LOVE this show. I didn't see a single episode when it originally aired, but thanks to the magic of DVDs, I just finished watching the entire 1st season. Great show. Weird, but very cool. It's like the X-Files on an island. I'm hooked!

OK - I still do not get it.
Is he saying "where's the button" and then the same thing in reverse?

I just started watching the repeats this summer - cool show.

this show is so good reminds me of how twin peaks kept me rivited to the television and at the end wonder what the fuck just happened!!!

I /think/ I hear him say "press the button. don't. button's bad" or something along those lines... and one (me) can only assume he means that crazy well-worn execute button on the dude's keyboard... or something. Smile Can't wait for next week! I put way too much thought into this show, but it's cRaZy!

The second episode didn't answer many questions, but gave us a few things to consider.....like the logo from inside the hatch on the shark? that freaked me out. I need to start taping the show each week, once is not enough to get all the quirks. It is very similar to Twin Peaks, I've said that from the start.

However; I do not think they have the entire show written. On the extras dvd they describe how the show was written in a week, it was picked up by ABC based on a 30 something page draft outline, and the pilot was filmed all too quickly to have mapped out the details we are given each week. (aside> it is the most expensive pilot in television history too).

The creator of LOSt is JJ Abrams...he also creataed Alias.

BIG fan of the show here, started watching it about midway through the first season. Very X-Files meets Twin Peaks (it's been said before).
The possibilities are endless in terms of plot, let's hope they don't fuck it up!

Just got into it and I'm hooked.

This will hold me over until 24 and The Shield get back in action.

And NHL Hockey of course!
