For those that have been lucky enough to get tickets:
Didn't you have to put in the name of the person picking up the tickets at the time of purchase? I thought that was the point. I thought that was done to make it (almost) impossible to scalp these tickets. That way, only the person named at the time of purchase could pick up the tickets, as they entered the venue.
At most, you could scalp one ticket, and accompany the person willing to pay the big bucks. I doesn't make any sense if you can buy the tickets, and then, at some later date, enter the name of the person who will be entering the venue. Does it?

If he's willing to trade, I have a couple of bridges and and a plot of land on the moon I'm looking to get rid of.

You didn't have to put in names, but I thought the CC holder + guest was logged and meant to be enforced. I emailed the seller and told him he might have a problem because of this. He responded:
"thanks for the message but I called ticketmaster a few times today and they assured me that giving away the tickets to someone else was not a problem. They said all I had to do was send them a fax with a photocopy of my id and credit card with a note stating that it was ok to release my tickets to a second party. They assured me I could give these away as a gift. Thanks for the note but I will check again to make sure tommorrow morning."
I think this is more TicketBastard's poor policy and tend to believe The Hip would want fans there instead of scalpers. I think TB's really screwing these shows up for the fans.

$1000 for tickets, eh?.... I probably have a gun laying around here somewhere so I'd just need to buy some bullets which can be bought for much much much less than $1000.... but that's just me; a penny-pincher.

*thinks about this morning* rage building
*thinks about ticketmaster* rage bulding
*thinks about Bluesfest in Ottawa* rage subsiding slightly
*thinks about this guy scalping for $1000* :censored

I sent an email to The Hip...not that they can do anything about this anyway likely...but I thought I'd bring it to their attention, incase they wanted to implement a few new rules to TM for more upcoming shows.
This is such a joke!!!!

I just spoke to Ebay directly via Live Chat, and the guy said this seller is in violation of the ticket policy. He is forwarding the auction number and seller information to Safe Harbor right away. Wouldn't surprise me if the listing was removed shortly.
I hate to be the bad guy, but the seller was looking to make huge bucks of tickets that cost him a fraction of the price. I can understand making a few bucks, but come on now...

reporting this guy doesnt make you the "bad guy", it makes you the good guy/girl.
