Great News Everyone!!! - NegPhil - 04-03-2008

Well well well. It seems the powers that be have seen fit to promote me to Moderator. A most wise decision.

The last time I held a moderator position I received a neon orange sash and a healthy supply of hall passes. Sure, I ended up going all "Bobby Brady" on a fourth grader (that's "grade four" for my Canadian friends) but that little punk had it coming.

Speaking of little punks. I'll have no more of this picking on young Sean Bonner every other day. My first official act as moderator is to decree Bonner bashing a daily obligation.

Second. More lists. Who doesn't love a good list.

Third. About these useless polls. We need at least 50% more useless polls. Lizardkid, why don't you get on that.

Oh yeah, Lizardkid. Consider yourself moderated son.

Fourth. O.k. I don't actually have a fourth decree. I'm thinking something involving Opiated, The Horrible Esthete and Skippy The Wonder Dog engaging in a ritualistic Battle Royal but I haven't work out all the details yet. I'll get back to y'all with that one.

I'll be expecting my sash in the post.

Bobby learns there's more to being safety monitor than enforcing the rules when he takes on the responsibility at school. In the process of annoying classmates and angering his siblings (because he carries over his "authority" at home), Bobby learns a hard lesson about power, discretion and responsibility ... especially when he winds up having to save a classmate's kitten from a dilapidated house.


I considered riffing on the word moderator but soon found the Ecumenical Reformation totally unfunny and lacking obscure television references.

The main reason was that alot of the Mods don't visit the site anymore. I think a few of the mods were here, not because they were die-hard hipfans, but because they were Lance's friend and wanted to land a helping hand to his site.
The past couple nights there been lots of Spam on the site... for example, I visited the site three nights ago... and there was a thread about the wonders of Cialis and how it combated this guys erectile disfunction in every single forum section. (Yes, I know I'm setting myself up for another joke). You will see maybe three other new mods as the week goes on.

Do you mean there was a thread in every single forum section re the wonders of Cialis, etc., or are you suggesting that this unfortunate individual suffered from erectile disfunction in every single forum section?

I prefer Viagra. It gives everything a groovy blue haze plus it makes me John Thomas stand at attention.
