All the more reason why Crosby should be on the team!

here's a question, are we allowed to bench players and play guys on the taxi squad, or are they there for injury purposes only?

She merits mentioning again. Three medals now, and possibly five before it's all said and done! :thumb:

Just an observation, but does anybody else think Greg Millen is an idiot?
:?

Just did a search, and yes, others agree.
I dunno how Hughson can stand working with him...

i don't think he likes him...he does the canuck games on sportsnet with john garret, and commented last week to john about "i'm not gonna have to argue all night with you as well am i??"..pretty funny stuff

It's amazing isn't it? I have yet to hear one person say: "You know what? I really like the work Greg Millen does." As far as I can tell, no one can stand him - least of all his broadcast partner.

It was cracking me up though when he kept saying during the Swiss game: "You can just feel that Canada is about to pop one".

I guess we're all still waiting for that goal that Greg Millen was expecting.

So what I'm gathering is that Greg Millen is to hockey as Tim McCarver is to baseball?

Pretty good analogy, but mercifully Millen isn't on the first broadcast team. But when he does fill in, it's almost enough reason to avoid watching the broadcast altogether.

Yeah, it wasn't a blowout at all. Canada, USA, Sweden.......for the sake of women's pro hockey it would be nice if a few more teams joined this competitive level.

Yes, big congratulations to the Canadian women's hockey team... once again they are golden! :thumb:

As for the men's team, they still haven't gelled yet. It's strange, usually you think it wouldn't be a problem for Canadians to come together as a team, but they really have looked uncomfortable and disjointed out in the last couple games. It's true that there hasn't been a lot on the line in the opening round, but you sure would like to see some consistency and improvement along the way.

I'm still confident they'll be able to turn it around. Often in international competition, when Canadian teams have their backs to the wall, they respond in style. But who knows what will happen? There are no more easy touches out there... whoever Canada plays in the quarter-final is going to be tough.

For now, at least, I will try to avoid hitting the panic button.

I'm pretty sure we could only bring those guys in as injury replacements.
