I could go into my "Liberals are rediculously soft on crime" speech, but I guess if the majority of people don't have a problem with these folks being reintroduced to our communities, what can you do? :roll:

I could go into my "Conservatives are clueless on crime and rehabilitation... the death penalty does NOT work, and polorizing is just plain ignorant" speech, but I guess if the majority of people want to make this a partisan issue and ignore the fact that this has nothing to do with party's or politics and everything to do with two mentally ill individuals who need to be dealt with individually, what can you do? :roll:

You're 100% correct when you say they need to be dealt with individually...unfortunately, with stories like this becoming more frequent, it's clear the laws of the land as they exist today don't adequately service this need, and THAT'S where politics (partisan or otherwise) enters the fray...

BTW...I never mentioned anything about the death penalty...you're making a gigantic assumptive leap with that one...

I think the only political aspect of all this is that our much vaulted Gun Registry, which is going to cost us 2 billion for reasons no one can explain (aside from the plausible explanation that its just another big slush fund) would do absolutely nothing to stop this.

All the rifles the guy had were legal, and handguns are not covered under the gun registry.

To believe the Liberal attack ads, cancelling the Gun Registry is going to put a loaded 45 in the hands of every nut in the country.
