Pearl Jam are my 2nd favorite band of all time behind you know who. Sometimes they even move into the #1 spot, depending on the year. I always figured the two bands must have crossed paths at some point over the years, especially with the Adam Kasper connection. I also remember an interview that Johnny and Gord S. did in Seattle in the early 90s, where the DJ told them about Jeff Ament being a fan of theirs. It's nice to know that Vedder hung out with them in Seattle while the Hip were recording there. I imagine some pretty amazing conversations took place between Gord and Eddie at the time.

Eddie and Gord hanging out together... what I wouldn't have given to share a bottle of red with those two.

Wish they would have done a Hip cover instead of almost any of the other covers from that set. Maybe tonight? Doubt it though.

potsie Wrote:I have great respect for Eddie Vedder. He is always acutely aware of what is going on the music community and that was a nice tribute. It does, however, beg the question... if PJ had covered a Hip song in tribute, what would you like to have seen? I would love to hear Eddie sing "In straight lines through shadows..." so You're Everywhere would be my choice.

I wonder if the dedication will find its way onto "Let's Play Two".

Light Years isn't listed on the track listing for the album.... maybe it will make the cut for the film though!

i hope so sean but my guess is it wont be there on the new pj dvd, even though it was a real beautiful moment.
ed is a king for doing it in the first place. it sure meant a lot to me when i heard him say what he said

I'm enjoying Let's Play Two but every time I hear a live album I think how Live Between Us really is the greatest live album of all time...no fades between tracks, no editing or tracks cut. It has a real true live feeling. Damn The Hip do everything right.

Does a bootleg exist of this show? I’ve always wanted to hear those other songs
