There is a direct proportion between the distance Paul will move on the stage during a song and his familiarity with the song. Next show you see, check it out. New stuff - there might as well be glue on the stage. Phantom Power era stuff might warrant a step or two. An oldie like Courage or NOIS, watch out - he might stray five feet from his spot. I wonder if that's why Gordie used to call him the Rock...
