I absolutly can not believe the support Locked is showing. Dont get me wrong, I love Locked as much as the next guy but honestly there is no comparaison to NOIS.

I hear you though. I love Locked too, but I'd never vote for anything over NOIS. I might "like" certain songs more than NOIS, but I don't think any are "better" from a compositional standpoint for guitar-driven rock.
As people have touched on earlier in this thread, it'd be very interesting to know what this band would have accomplished had NOIS never been written.

IMHO...............I think a lot of people are looking at NOIS as, "my god i have heard that on the radio so many times I am sick of it" or "I am sick of hearing it live"..............When you sit down and compare the two song for song, like listening to them both for the first time..........Locked doesn't hold a candle.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Locked, it is one of my favorites. But musically, lyrically, it just pales in comparison......

NOIS-fatigue on this board. I'm a sufferer.
Locked has armour in its belly and ribbons of iron in its veins. NOIS is a bloated heavyweight prizefighter just looking to get smacked in the mouth by the machine revving tension of a lithe welterweight like Locked, which it did.

IMO, I feel that this has been the greatest upset of the entire Hip 64 event.

Everytime I hear NOIS it still sounds fresh to me, and magnificent.
But then it was the first Hip track I heard, about fourteedn months ago...

I strongly agree.
I really cannot believe Locked beat NOIS.
I think some people on the forums just vote against the "popular" choice because they don't want to be like the "every day fans"
