Perhaps you should ask your friend who was in there....
And what night - Saturday or Sunday?

On Saturday night there was a DWI checkpoint at the Tops or backside exit. Every car was checked. Sunday we parked in town and walked about a half mile. Much better.
Too heavy of a police presence imo. Once inside the atmosphere was great. Artpark is a good place to see a show.

I agreed. Sunday was awesome. I had greaqt seats in the 3rd row and ended up with afterparty passes too. Unfortunately, Gord was more interested in talking hockey with Brian Campbell, Jay McKee and Tony McKegney, than talking music with fans.

I was also at the after party when Gord and Johnny came out to meet those who were there. I was standing off to your left when your picture was taken. I felt Gord tried to speak to all of the 15 to 20 people who gathered around him. He signed autographs and took pictures with anyone who asked him. I have met Gord many times after shows and he is usually soft spoken and low key. Gord will always talk about his lyrics or The Hip's music if you ask him about it. I didn't hear anyone ask him any questions about The Hip's music. He may have spent a little more time talking with his hockey pals, but I would have too. If you like following NHL hockey, then it is interesting to meet the professionals. I think Gord spent over 30 minutes with everyone before getting on the tour bus.

Didn't go on sat, but I know Sunday was fantastic. I parked in some guys front lawn($10) just outside one of the artpark lots. Everyone there was great, partied and had a great time. I did not get hassled by the police, but I can do without seeing that many pumping their chests out:x . They did drive by once, and told everyone they had to stay on the other side of the sidewalk. They could just take it easy!
As far as the show.. Never been to Artpark before, but I love the venue. We had 1st row pit seats and a great time.

Daddy/DD/scared/fire etc... Great Show

Threw some of my pix up. Not nearly as good as BHF's :thumb: but here they are. Had a chance at the after meet n greet but my friend could get me and the wife in but we drove w/2 others and he couldn't get them in so that end of it sucked

I wasn't gonna make them sit and wait for us when they would have loved to go in too. oh well.

Message to Tthip,
There were 6 songs repeated at Artpark. You missed Family Band and
NOIS. I do not want to sound like a no it all, but I pride myself on remembering each setlist of the shows that I attend no matter how drunk I get.
Besides Family Band is a personal favorite of mine. It is usually a
highlight every time I hear it. NOIS being played 2nd song on Sunday
really set the tone for the rest of the show.

I was just listening to Fireworks from the Saturday show and noticed gord said " loosening my grip on Ryan Miller". I didn't notice it during the show but I think thats pretty cool.

Also before I forget. I like the picture of Gord and Campbell. Campbell was at the Saturday show also ( Im assuming this was taken by hugh on Sunday). He must be a big hip fan, I ran onto him during a show in Rochester with Jason Wooley back in the days of the live and intimate shows.....

Funny you should mention that.
At the October 2, 2000 Rochester show Campbell was there and my wife went up to the balcony before the show to grab some beers because the line up there was a lot shorter.
She comes down and tells me about a Buffalo Sabre trying to hit on her - he was telling her about the Hummer Limo they had outside and trying to impress her with the Sabres/Hummer stuff. Funny thing is - he was still playing primarily for Rochester. She pointed him out and I just laughed at his clown like appearance. I think of that everytime I see him.
