The nominees for the 2007 Juno Awards were announced yesterday, and The Hip were nominated in the following four categories:

Group Of The Year
Rock Album Of The Year
Jack Richardson Producer Of The Year
CD/DVD Artwork Design Of The Year (sponsored by Ever-Reddy Packaging)

That is awesome, hopefully they win atleast a few. it is funny to see them up against Billy talent after Gord was mocking him in Calgary.

they should win all four. neil young only received one nomination for living with war? thats all i saw unless i missed one or two more.

Also Jets Overhead areup for Best New Group. I am super excited for that one since I did there submission.

I really hope Bob rock wins producer, he definately deserves it.

Somebody in the crowd screamed something that nobody could make out in between songs, and Gord said something like "What was that?....you kinda sounded like Billy Talent there"...he then went on to do a Billy Talent impression, which I guess wasn't too flattering, but still hilarious :lol:

Anyway, it would be a crime if they don't win best rock album. :thumb:

And Bob Rock is being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame.

The band will be performing one song on CTV's live broadcast.

The Juno awards will take place in Saskatoon on Sunday April 1st.

I can't remember where I first heard it, but I think it was on Q107... a radio station in Toronto.

I cant believe the Barenaked Ladies weren't nominated for anything following the release of the powerhouse that is "barenaked ladies are me" Just saying definatley check this album out its got some truly amazing songs on it.

Once again the Junos prove to the world that when it comes to award shows, they're the biggest joke on the planet. It seems to get worse every year.
