I hadn't seen this since it first aired...i think it's great they tackled the issue of death, rather than just pretending it doesn't happen. Classic TV moment

This was one of my favourite Sesame Street skits growing up. Just discovered it on Youtube last week while watching videos with my daughter.

What a wonderful clip. I don't remember seeing that episode when I was a kid.

Sad

no shit! I loved that one.

You guys remember the dude who used to slap letters or numbers on the bald blue guy and then laughed to beat hell? That poor blue guy, he always got the raw deal, like getting Grover for a waiter all the time.
One of my favorites:

I need to find the one where Bert's nose comes off and Ernie puts it back in wrong places.

What a great thread!
Mr Hooper was a great man...poor muppets...just didn't get it at first.
I'm glad they didn't beat around the bush...kids have the right to know
That clip was really sad, but really well done. What a great show Sesame Street was! I don't remember seeing that when it was on originally, though. Did anyone else notice that a few of the cast seemed to be welling up at the end - their either very good actors, or genuinely moved by it.

On a happier note, I used to love these guys! Big Grin

I did too - but they freaked me out a little...like alot of things on SS....like the chef who would proclaim he was carrying "12 cream pies" and then traumatically tumble down the stairs....or the "Lower-case 'n'" that would get dropped from a spaceship onto a lonely hill and abandoned.

Poor Lower-case 'n'. Sad
Always enjoyed this segment….People in Your Neighborhood

LADYBUG PICNIC!!!

I cannot even tell you all how excited this makes me.

I also loved the Sesame Street special with all of the "celebrities" of the day, including Phil Donahue among others.

There is something somewhat shady about this clip...I never knew that the letter "o" was such an illicit object...

I'll stop posting these clips in a moment, but a Sesame Street spoof on Bruce *must* be shared.

Harvey Kneeslapper is the dude I was thinking about...
