Haven't seen any dedicated vintage dvds for sale. I got a Grover dvd for my daughter for Christmas, and it has some classic Grover skits on it.
Also found a 3-cd box set for her, entitled "Songs From the Street", covering music from the show over the 35 years.

Just last week I started singing that one at supper.
My kids think I'm odd.
As with the last few years, I had the joy of spending this past Christmas with my best friend Charlene. Her sister was spending her first Christmas away from home (they're both originally from Newfoundland), so the three of us planned to gather together and hang out.
The week leading up to Christmas was crazy, and by the time the 23rd came out I was just burnt out. The girls were burnt out too, working 60+ hours each week. It looked like we'd be spending Christmas drinking and trying to catch up on sleep. Not good.
I was at work in downtown Calgary, stuck in an office building at 0300, looking back on my life and wondering how I ended up here. Youth disappears way too quickly, and it seems like it is only in its passing that we can finally see it for the gift it is. I thought about how, when we were kids, we'd spend most of Christmas day running around the house in pj's, playing with toys and watching TV. Some part of this 30 year old really wanted to be three again; to find something to reconnect with the kid he used to be.
And that's when I got this idea... what if... how cool would that be...?
I jumped online and did some research, and found what I was looking for. I left work early and found a WalMart that was open 24 hours, and hit the jackpot. I wrapped it up with the other gifts, and wrote the following on the tag:
"To Charlene, Janelle and James... May this help you feel like kids again. Love, Santa."
Christmas morning came, and I saved this gift as the last one to be opened. I made the two sisters open it together, and you wouldn't believe the shout of surprise they gave when they saw what it was ...

We spend a good part of the day drinking wine and watching old Sesame Street episodes. I honestly can't remember the last time I'd laughed that hard... the three of us were in tears! I highly recommend picking it up!! :thumb:

I have been sending tons of Sesame Street and Muppet show stuff to all my friends. Its has been getting a huge, positive response. What a great couple of shows! Sheer brilliance. I havent laughed as hard as I did when I saw that Yip Yip skit in years. Not Mars...nope...earth. Awesome!
