you just blew my mind.

As far as the Sabres are concerned, it is just nice to have a sports team worth watching for a change. Also, they make the game far more exciting thereby making the NHL more exciting. Also Sabre defensemen Brian Campbell is a huge Hip fan.

i saw brian at work yesterday and had him sign a can of campbells soup

Ron
well,i voted for the city, but i changed my mind. Its all about the animal. Remember, in so many live versions ive heard he cocks his gun after he says buffalo; so unless he's shooting sabres fans (and we all get that temptation sometimes) its all about the animal

man if a thread goes on long enough (without falling into flaming and the rot) – you can actually learn something new – I had no idea buffalo can be used as a verb – i.e. The Sabers buffalo the leafs again …..

And buffalos enjoy maple syrup second to fallen Maple Leafs !!!
My vote's for buffalo. That's just how I interpreted the lyrics when I hear it. Buffalo is just a town near the falls with a hockey team that I don't cheer for (go oilers!).
definately the animal...
haha best thread ever. Buffalo the city because he sing Hengelo right after. Kind of like a where he's been kinda vibe.

Its tough though because at first I thought it was buffalo. I was wow he sure does paint a wife picture haha. Thats the great thing about music, we each hear something different
it probably is meant to be both though, interchangable, and to add different meanings, and allow for different interpretations...that's how Gord rolls, he loves to keep ya guessin'
Alright ... I'm calling it. With 70 votes tabulated ... It's now official. 43 to 27:

Gord is remembering Stephane Dion.

I mean, Buffalo. Congrats to the Queen City -- you beat out a bunch of woodland creatures nearly hunted to extinction. Why doncha just finish 'em off. You should be real proud of yourselves.

That's only because the delegates for buffalo (the verb) crossed the floor to Buffalo.
Hmmmm......the Great Plains, with images of wind whistling through wires that line a corduroy road, shoulder-high vegetation, a raven carrying a old animal skull along the line of the road......and "BUFFALO"

Which is a better fit:

Ha ha ha. Boy, cracking cheap jokes about Buffalo never gets old. Nothing says funny like mass extinction and exploitation of working class people!

sorry about that . I had a bad day and gota wee bit pissy.
