Whatever. If it is 19+, I will find a way to go to at least two shows.
They don't. The mailout says all-ages, and it'd be 18+ in Calgary if anything.

Are you kidding? Anyway, i've complained enough.
Nope. It's a shame you'll miss the Vancouver ones, but all-ages gigs suck once you're older.

I'm sure it's the case, but at least you get to go no matter what.
Well, you're probably right, but a show that sucks is better than no show at all.
I wonder what time they start. Because that would be pretty wicked if I could finish up my Psychology midterm and then walk over and catch a hip show.
Does anyone know what time the Calgary shows start?
Doors at 7-8 is the norm.
The Hip usually start at least an hour after doors open though probably? There have been no opening acts announced, if there's an opening band I'm thinking the Hip will probably play at 9, if not, perhaps 8.

Sounds good. Maybe this will work. I guess I will know for sure on Tuesday morning anyway.

Depends on the show. If it's all-ages, they'll go on earlier. 9's a decent estimate for Calgary (I think technically all-ages gigs have to be done by 11pm), but I assume they'll be on closer to 10 elsewhere.
The shows at Fort York this summer had the hip on 9ish, I believe. Perhaps that's because they were all-ages and had to be done by 11PM as you say daylight. I wasn't aware of that.
Outdoor shows also have noise curfews to factor in. It's a delicate art, the scheduling of concerts. But I digress - yay, Hip sort-of-tour!
Wow, I got my brother into the Hip during the last year and now they're playing here on his birthday. My shopping is done.

I'm confused. Why do all ages gigs suck once you're older? I actually think that they are better. Many of the drunks stay away from the front stage as they can't bear to be that far away from their next drink; and the enthusiasm of younger fans can be infectious. As well, The Hip's original fanbase is getting to an age where they might want to bring their children to a concert - and all-ages allow that to happen.
Oh man... this is gonna be one expensive week!
Anyone know the capacity of the Phoenix? It's fairly large I think (close to the size of the Kool Haus)... I wonder if it'll be possible to get tickets for all 4...

I am disappointed that the tour is not coast to coast. I am moving to Halifax in October and all but still would like to see a coast to coast tour if I wasn't. I hope I can see the Montreal shows, but new house, new job might not allow for it.
