I just got off set after a long day of rigging and walked into the loby of the Holiday Inn Express in Mechanicsville, Virginia. What do I hear on the loby radio? Why it's the Tragically Hip "In View". Crazy thing is I'm wearing my Love Sic shirt!

was having a rough day at my new tech support job today, had to make an annoying outbound call, the customer put me on hold, as soon as she did i heard "no dress rehearsal.........." that made my day right there, if not for 20 seconds or so

I listen to XM Radio all the time - and everyday at noon is a Grateful Dead concert.
Well, my radio only displays "GD Concert"
And every damn time I see it on the screen I think "Great! A Gord Downie Concert"
What a dumbass I am.
But what made me decide to post it here was yesterday - when I saw the "GD Concert" I got all excited again and then I thought "dumbass" again - but then I realized The Dead's Dire Wolf was playing and it made me smile.

That GD thing happens to me too all the time....Damn you Grateful Dead...Just kidding, the Deads OK

Standing in line at a food vendor and Silver Jet starts playing. Cool.
Then they cut it off with about a minute left and put on No Doubt.
Damn iPod kids that think they are the DJ.

I was standing on the corner of a street this morning waiting for the light to change, when a guy pulled up BLARING 'The Modern Spirit' on his stereo. While waiting for the light, I had the pleasure of being witness to him rocking out in his vehicle - he was theatrically playing the air drums and singing along. The guy gave me a large smile when he looked over and noticed I was enjoying the song as well. And then the light turned green...

Thank you random stranger for making my day.

Great way to close out the old building! It sure was chilly though.

We were at a furniture store looking for a couch. I sat down on this couch and they started playing 50 mission cap. Needless to say we bought the couch.
