Me too. I do it on the way to work, when I'm on my way to see clients... pretty much any time I'm in the car and there's a Hip song on. I've also sat and waited for a song to come on next if the DJ has announced a Hip song in the set.
Just because we all do it.
doesn't make it normal.
I think it is safe to say, when it comes to the hip, the people on this board don't exhibit what would be considered "normal" behavior -- at least to the average person.

I don't stop...I just keep driving around the block. Expecially to Greasy Jungle...that is a definite driving song. No stopping for that one.
Ya, when a Hip song (or any awesome song, really) is on the radio, I try to time it so I get to my driveway as the song is ending. I can't stand just sitting there, I feel weird about it, so instead I waste gas and cruise the streets!
Post-script: Because of the physical impossibility of hearing anything good on the radio, this is not often a concern of mine.
Oh to have radio that played the Hip...
I have a hard time stopping any good song in the middle, it ends up leaving you in a sort of musical suspension.
Yeah Daryl, I think we're all in the same boat here...
I remember before Hipeponymous was released, me and some of the guys were on the way to a hockey game and The Hip was on a few times, ofcourse we were all pretty pumped for that...
On the way back I made a comment that It would be pretty sweet if The Hip came on again (van didn't have a CD player so we had no tunes)
Well, sure enough as soon as we started home we started looking for some music on the radio, we changed the station and after the current song finished, they played The Hip... We were pretty surprised at our luck, and then another one came on... Then some interviews with the band... They were playing The Hip straight out, (promo for Hipeponymous) We wanted it to continue for the whole drive home, but we didn't wanna miss anything when we got out of the van... Thankfully it finished just as we arrived at my buddies place.
Radio doesn't work in my car, but the 20 or so Hip CD's that are in there get a good going-over

What happens if Greasy Jungle is being played while you are approaching a red light? Is the alright to break the law while listening to a great tune?

And then, I go in the house, pull out the CD and play the song again on my home stereo because the whole vibe was wrecked when the neighbour kept looking at me funny.
"Yeah, just keep mowing your lawn, buddy. Nothing to see here."
