This isn't another favourite lyric post, because that's been done, but I can't recall something like this, at least in my two years here.
As I said in the 06-24-06 review, the Hip playing Sherpa was really special for me, as it is the song I connect with most, especially the line: "You said 'we must be friends or die'/And we've died a thousand times since then."
Something about it just speaks to my (on-going, I guess) adolescence, and strikes a chord that no other line does.
So does anybody else have one line that turns them to inward thoughts, maybe more than any other? Just curious.

This is pretty much the story of my life! For both lines!
there's no simple explanation for anything important
there really isnt!
A line that has really stuck with me over the years is:

It's that they're reversible
I don't know if it really defines me, but i think it has a certain down-to-earthness and stoicism that we can all see in ourselves.

It's not so much the lyrics in this case, but the crescendo and how it resolves at the end. It's something that everytime I listen to it, gives me shivers. I'll have to think about favourite lyrics though.. there are an awful lot of them.

I'd say the passage in Lake Fever with the wants "Want to be a nobody without peer, want to be a thought that's never done" etc.
I feel it because I've been trying to figure out what to do with my life (college majors, jobs) and I want to do everything, and that's impossible.
That sounds really cheesy but oh well!
