Hey all. I failed to acquire tickets for the gig at the Commodore on the 26th, and was curious if anyone knew how one could get tickets for the show at this point? Obviously there are no scalper tickets, but are there any alternatives?

Any advice would be great, or if you want to tell me that I'm shit out of luck, that's fine too
i think you're like me..shit out of luck
Well you guys aren't entirely Shit out of Luck....just have to win it is all... Smile

Anyone planning on recording this show?

There are few things in the world as annoying as seeing people do this. I know this listing will get pulled as they aren't following the eBay rules for selling concert tickets, but it will be easy enough to get a hold of them outside of the auction and then this jackass will still make a pretty penny. :x

I've been researching this for the last hour or so using Ebay's help pages and I'm not impressed with what I'm finding.

Only Alberta, Manitoba & Ontario have rules regulating the resale of event tickets with a 'face-value' type of stipulation. BC has none as it seems. Regardless of where both the seller/buyer reside and where the event is taking place, this sale might be permitted by eBay. The seller's prior ID was 'canuckfan01' so I'm thinking he lives out here as opposed to one of those three provinces.

The only thing I've seen thus far to nix this sale is the following: any sale of tickets for an international event (outside the USA) that is listed on an eBay site other than ebay.com is not allowed. The auction link shows an eBay.ca domain, so this could be the reason for it maybe being an illegal sale.

I'll keep looking to see if I can pin something definite down.

Even if you do find anything, one way around it - as was being done out here for Flames tix during the 04 playoffs, is to make the auction for something inconsequential - like a button - and say that you are going to "throw in" the concert tickets as well. Technically you aren't doing anything wrong - the auction is for the button, and if someone wants to pay $500 for the button, that's their right. But it's pretty damn obvious what is going on.
New Single Ticket Listing

Listing above had one of the two tickets purchased

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything else in eBay's help pages.
RJB,
I hate to break it to you but unless someone here posts in the 'Ticket Exchange' that they have an extra, then i think you're SOL.

As TLB has pointed out though, there are tix available on ebay but you never know if it's a scam or not so be wary.

Other than that, I have had luck in the past with Ticketbastard reposting tix (people whoes credit cards didn't go through or multiple orders from one card/address) closer to the actual show date but this has only been for larger venue gigs (Copps/ACC).

Good luck though.
All for now,
Aaron

There's a ton of sales on Ebay for the House of Blues show in Chicago, all by the same seller, "thebombtickets. They're selling pairs of tickets for $159 plus $18 shipping, and that's American dollars. What an asshole.
Can we tape the show? Or just pics? Or anything at all?
AHHH I come back from vacation to learn that I missed out on this sale..... goddamnit....

If ANYONE has an extra ticket please email me

Let's start again. My wife and I are going to the show. Does anyone know if video cameras or picture cameras will be permitted inside the Commodore? I've asked thehip.com, and alas, no response.

Thanks

Hmm, I don't recall seeing your email. I am awaiting information on this. I can't tell you what I don't know.

MAv.
It was sent the day the tickets went on sale. No big deal tho. Would like to be able to record it, if not, oh well. Nothing beats live!!!
