sean.bonner Wrote:And I just realized that there is a picture of the setlist... and how it does say simply "Rink". Now... lets hear the story behind how you got your hands/lens on that...

After the show, I was milling around looking for hipbase tshirts and found Corby. We chatted and he pointed me to the guy that got the setlist (another hipbaser. i cant remember his handle. he doesnt post much, but might lurk through now and make a post.) So I got a few pics of me and him. I took a direct shot that actually missed part of it. That pic in the torrent I cut and pasted out of a shot of our hipbase friend. I think I saw Johnny pass it to him at front row centre, but I am not 100% on that.
Alright, for those who want easy access to kelman's delicious clips:

The Lonely End of the Rink
The Drop Off

These songs kick so much ass.

EDIT: We're all friends here, right?
nice to see gord singing the new songs without guitar
one weird thing is that on the website, song 14 is listed as "Fly" while on the photo of the setlist, it says "Try"

and another weird thing is that when I try to post the picture of the setlist here, a picture of some dude and some chick gettin married or something shows up instead.

yer welcome. i think that was Hundredth tho.... Gord reminds me of Wolfman from The Hilarious House of Frightenstein

and I am stoked about capturing that whole fighting rant. I saw it sorta transpiring in front of me and saw bouncer jump in. i saw Gord took notice. quickly got my camera on and got everything from Gord perfectly.
That was a bloody amazing show, with three brand-spanking new tunes, all of which i must say are new favorites(such lyrics included "70 days, 70 nights" and "getting beat up by a guy who cries before he fights")

I've got some pics i will be posting soon, having a bit of trouble uploading at the moment.

I also heard the Freddie Mercury lines used in one of the new songs (includes the 70 days, 70 nights thing). I forget which song. I think the last new one. Fly? (by the website) or Try? (by the setlist photo) Sadly I never recorded any of that last new song.
It was definitely the last, Fly or Try.

Did you happen to catch the circumstances around this, i saw the bouncer had a black eye after.

not really. i just sorta saw a bouncer or two jump in about 10 feet to my front-left. but immediately i knew there was "Gordie-gold" about to come and quickly turned on my digital camera to make sure it was recorded (especially considering I had no idea at time that anyone was recording)

he didnt have the black eye beforehand?
i had talked to the same bouncer briefly before the show, so pretty sure he didn't. But maybe it was a different person i was talking to, it was dimly lit.

sorry. i didnt mean to imply i saw him with one beforehand. I meant to "ask" the question you did answer tho...
I noticed the bouncer's black eye well before the fight broke loose.

Best line of the night: 'holy fuck it's Jesus,' which I thought I heard during 'Rink.' :thumb:
