It's all about personal preference. I "get" Radiohead just fine, and I never said I didn't like them. In fact, I think they're one of the best bands of the last 20 years. OK Computer is one of my top 10 favorite albums of all time. I'm just not a huge fan of some of their more recent material, that's all. And I do agree that they're a wee bit overrated. The endless wave of critical blowjobs they receive from the mainstream press is a little ridiculous. Heaven forbid somebody actually comes out and criticizes the mighty Radiohead. I've said this before and I'll say it again: these guys could put out an album of them farting into the microphone for an hour, and music critics would still call it "brilliant" and "cutting edge" just because it's Radiohead. Even Thom Yorke will tell you how silly and meaningless all the hype is. I've heard him say it.
There's no question they're a great band, and I always look forward to seeing what they're gonna do next. But there are at least 30 other bands out there who in my opinion are just as worthy of the kind of praise that Radiohead gets.

Best band of all time? :lol: :lol: There is no such thing as best band of all time because music is all subjective but to each their own. dannya2, I think it's great that you love Radiohead but you made yourself look like a elitist snob by calling people who don't ejaculate over the new Radiohead stuff "wankers". Sorry if the albums after OK Computer made me want to kill myself. I can't change that and I'm not gonna pretend like everything they do is gold just because some know nothing at Spin magazine told me so.

i've never read spin magazine, they sound like they know what they are talking about though.....
there is such a thing as a best band, in my headspace it is radiohead.....in yours it is something else. to each their own, i never said otherwise.
