How many people could use some content for their pda, blackberry's, mobile phone's etc.
What would you like and I am not talking about ring tones, but I thought I would throw that out there.

You're darn right, they should be telling us what THEY'RE thinking, Carbo...not throwing out a request for ideas. If they want ideas, they can hire a marketing firm...instead they're trying to squeeze some out of the fans for free. And whoever happens to suggest something unconventional they'd never think of, they're going to walk away with only a sense of pride while the Hip's management walks away with the dinero. The fans should demand a cut but "I started that!!" is the only reward they'll be left with. So, MAv, why not tell us what you're working...at best, we should only be a free market test group. Not that superfluous cash grabs for "mobile content" deserve our time and effort. If I had a marketable idea, I'd be incorporating myself, patenting it, and launching a portfolio proposal under license!

Yikes! If you don't want to contribute, shut the heck up and get out of the way of those who do.
Why shouldn't they consult their most dedicated fans? If enough of us are interested in something, and then they take the time to make it a reality, who are you to question it?

Anyway, I'll try and be a little more careful with my stupid ideas. I have nothing more to say, other than I will make more mobile content like above, but it's more of a play thing to solve personal issues, like last week, I was stuck in a cab in traffic going across town. I accessed the hip site wanting just to read some stories and I spent half the trip downloading graphics instead of reading.

MAv, i for one, would just like to say - I COMPLETELY appreciate all you are doing for us - so there!! :wink: my only bummer, is i, like a few others don't have the oh-so cool mobile devices to utilize what you've arranged and offered. but yeah, back to my point, don't let bonehead people get ya down mr. there are so many of us that truly appreciate your contributions to this community...be it random thought - most current info - or fun new options like these!

Why thank you. I'm not really offended, it sort of suprsised me though, as (I thought) it was a completely innocent comment I left.
Anyway, I don't know how many people have one of these gizzmos, and I was sort of wondering if it was a useless option. Be that as it may be, I can now easily read TSP entries while stuck in traffic taking a cab across town, unlike my experience last week, and that, is that :thumb:

Great idea... I too was in a similar situation last week, but I was sitting on a runway for an hr waiting to take off and it took forever to get thru the pictures.

Ahhh.... gotcha! I rarely have the time to use my phone or PDA for anything other than work... and in reality more live music or video would be a waste on either of them... but should the time arise where I can surf, thehip.com would probably be at the top of my list, so I will definitely add the links to my favourites.

Thanks. I rarely use my phone for anything but the phone and checking email, but then I ran into this one situation last week, and I am sure that it will happen to me again. So glad that it will be useful to others.
