Something will be coming down the pipe. I am waiting for the board recording and a second camera angle . . .

I'm not gonna lie, that made me dance.
Chris is right, he was his usual pensive, private and contemplative self. I've got the Gord impression down to a "T," since I've been doing it all day. Here's how it looks in print:

Internet Geek SD: "...so were you reading a lot of books on the topic at one point in your life?"

Gord (arms crossed, staring at the floor, leaning in to hear the question) : *deep inhale through tight lips* "Yeah... mmmm... yeah... ya know" *deep inhale, lips broaden to prepare for answer* "it's like we're at..." *shifts his head up to make eye contact, puts his teeth together* "war" *teeth still together, sly grin with his lips*
"Private, Pensive, contemplative"....me thinks he was just really really high.

Good on ya mate!!!

You and I share the same penchant for being losers. What a privelege for you fellows the other night. I am very jealous of you all. Amazing stories about the other night. Can't wait to see the video from MAv.

Probably a little tired from playing two hours of hockey in the morning . . .
Sounds like one hell of a night for you guys, fun stuff to read, keep the stories coming, hehe

Nice to know there are cool bands like The Hip that appreciate their fans, and keep us up to date with what's going on(this place helps a lot too..)

just my comments

side note, anyone know what Sam Roberts played for his songs? and any recordings for that?

And from performing at Sick Kids earlier that day as well... that would be physically and emotionally draining.

It was a great night. I'll get the SRB setlist and post it here, and at bangkoktobabylon...

No amateur/fan recording gear was allowed in... so the simple answer is no; there isn't a recording available. As well, it's good form to wait at least 2 weeks before seeking out a recording. Tapers have lives outside of taping...

EggPlant had their own crew recording the entire event which prohibited us from taping.
Thanks Chris,

I've heard the 2 week thing before, was just wondering if anyone had taped or seen anyone tape anything

I hope you have lives outside of taping and recording, hehe

I have the entire night - though I'm not sure what will get out. Will do my best. Just watched sound check - digitizing and organizing and waiting patiently for my board feed as well as other angle.

Wow everyone, as I sit here at work - I'm blown away at this thread. I've been so busy over the last couple of days that I haven't had the chance to log on & do my daily catch-up. I am so glad to hear how amazing your night was and from the stories you've told I can picture Gords face, etc. How fantastic to be able to just hang out and have a normal conversation with them all. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't jealous but truly, I'm so happy that a select few of the basecrew were able to not only attend but also meet up & talk with the guys. I can't wait to see the video.

I'll check back in a couple of days (off to warmer weather...Berkley, CA) --- So cheers from Portland everybody. And btw, if I haven't said it already...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS HIPBASE!

Sadly, I forgot to bring that up, and it was on my internal list of things to discuss. Doh!
