I've only ever had the pleasure of meeting Robby when Stripper's were (was?) here this summer. If the rest of the guys are as nice and humble as him, that would have been a cool conversation.....
Robby seemed a hell of a guy, and chatted with me like we knew each other already. (and for the record I think Pat Steward just loves to talk to anybody......

I am in absolute awe. Please MAv, tell us when/if thehip.com will be updated with a video of the performance!!! This would be one of, if not THE premiere bootleg of the decade.

If they didn't before last night, they do now. I'm pretty sure they had an understanding of who we are before we met them; Especially Gord D. His comments surrounding the internet, MAv, and what we do were very on point. And he even noticed my camera gear in the back corner of the bar, and commented about it. In the middle of a sentance...
GD: "Is that your gear; your 'rig'?"
CK: "Yes."
GD: "Hmmm... great. Keep doing what you're doing; it's great. Hmmmm...." followed with the grin that Steve, Lance & I saw many times that night.
There was one other interesting quote he made, and I need to review the film to make sure I get it right.

You'd think so with all the hmmming and umming, but no he wasn't eating a sandwich; he just seemed to really think about what he was going to say, or what he was saying, or what we were saying, a lot. And most of his thought pauses were filled with a hmmm... I got the feeling he was really interested in what we had to say, and was really appreciative of what we do. The comments I've posted were some of the most hmmm filled he made all night!

Yeah, I was just kidding (as I'm sure you know). Very cool though. It's good to see all of the work you guys do go recognized and be appreciated by the band. :thumb:
