Slow year for me too

I think only
Live 8
Wil
U2
Queen's tribute band

System of a Down (Not a fan, free box seats)

Strippers Union

Floor 13

Crystal Pistol

Danko Jones

Our Lady Peace
NMAS x2
Pearl Jam

I think that is it, wow, quiet year.
I saw some great shows this year...

Greg Keelor with Travis Good - Lee's Palace
Joel Plaskett Emergency and Cuff the Duke - Lee's Palace
Pearl Jam and Sleater-Kinney X3 (Kitchener, Hamilton, TO)
U2 - ACC
Smog - Lee's Palace
The Sadies X2 - (Horseshoe and Harbourfront Centre)
Joel Plasket solo - (Hugh's Room)
Blue Rodeo and Matt Mays - Molson Amphitheatre
Beach Fest (Ron Sexsmith, David Usher, Kathleen Edwards, Blue Rodeo)
Kathleen Edwards and Plaskett - The Pheonix
Sarah Harmer - Harbourfront Centre Theatre
Live 8
Jimmy Eat World - Arrow Hall
Ryan Adams - Kool Haus

Apparently I see a lot of concerts...I actually forgot about a bunch of these until I started thinking about it! haha.

The best shows were for sure the Sadies. They are so amazing. The Greg Keelor show was really special too. Oh! Pearl Jam was the best too. Also, Plaskett always delivers.
I only saw three shows this year:

Pearl Jam
Bad Religion
NIN w/ QOTSA

But they were the 3 most amazing shows I have ever been to in my life. NIN was definately something I have never ever experienced and something I will never ever forget. Pearl Jam was everything and more than I expected....it was the perfect climax to a 14 year build up  And Bad Religion had more energy than ever before....even though I felt extremely old among the concert-goers. Once Graffin started I forgot about everyone in that room. Now if only the Hip had came here as well, it would have been the ultimate concert year for me!
The Finn Brothers/Bic Runga
U2 x2 (New York and Wash DC)
Coldplay
Foo Fighters/Weezer/Kaiser Chiefs

and, ummmm, that's it. Wow, only 5 shows? Geez, last year I saw more Hip shows (6) than that! Definitely not a good year. Next year should be much much better with the Hip and hopefully Pearl Jam. Can't get much worse (although the "Foozer" show was awesome).
The Spades
Strippers Union
Hugh Dillon Redemption Choir X 3
Sam Roberts
The White Stripes

slow concert year for me
-- QOTSA Live@Much
-- Jimmy Eat World w/Taking Back Sunday (relax, I got free tickets)
-- The Jimmy Chamberlin Complex w/Amanda Bentley
-- Weezer w/Ringside (a crushing disappointment)
-- Nine Inch Nails w/the Dresden Dolls
-- The Kaiser Chiefs w/OK Go
-- Oasis w/Jet
-- Sleater-Kinney w/Dead Meadow
-- Kings of Leon
-- System of a Down w/Mars Volta and Bad Acid Trip
-- Pearl Jam w/Supersuckers
-- Pearl Jam w/Sleater-Kinney x6 (followed Pearl Jam from Thunder Bay-Toronto, inclusive)
-- U2 w/Dashboard Confessional
-- The Rolling Stones w/Beck

That should be it for '05, unless U2 in Buffalo materializes on Friday. So yeah, a good year...man, I miss the Pearl Jam tour.

Was I the only one who saw The Pixies with Weezer at the Amp.? Yeah, Weezer was an incredible letdown, but the Pixies proved they've still got it...awesome stuff...
Not managed mutch this year, but they have opened a new venue in the city (Newcastle Upon Tyne UK) and there I have seen

Goldfrapp - The worst concert I have ever been too. Alison must have said about 10 words for the whole show, and I have a strong suspicion that most of the music was pre-recorded and she was miming. A massive dissapointment

The Bloodhound Gand - Restoring my faith in live music. From the start to the finish these guys rocked!! Kept the crowd entertained, made fun of the city in a friendly way (Jimmy Nail takes it up the Tyne Tunell - v. local joke) and they also gave us free stuff using a 3-man catapult to send shirts through the sound barrier to the back of the room. And at the start of the encore we get a tribute to Venom's (local thrash band)drum solo with a 'drumkit on helmet' Dumb-solo.

Next year I plan more, I promise.

Nope that was one of the few shows i got out to this year.

I agree, Weezer was a hugh let down. But Pixies, a band I had never previously heard about, competely rocked. Stole the show!

My List for my slow slow year:

-Weezer/Pixies
-Sam Roberts
-Collective Soul (free tickets)

I can't believe thats it, it was a year of being far too broke to go to the shows I wanted to.

next year I will hopefully be heading to 3 or 4 hip shows alone!!!
