Are there any - I'm sure there are, boots of an Evening with Tour, if so, what are they and which are the best? I'd love to hear them . . .

There's a Fillmore, San Francisco show out there that sounds pretty decent.
I was at the Ottawa show, and have a boot of it with weird digital clicking all the way through the last 4 or 5 tracks...decent sound for the corel centre, though.
I'd recommend the one from the next night in Montreal (considering it's the only other one I have from that tour), though...where they actually *play* Montreal, which is a pretty cool story in and of itself (as I recall...)
Yeah, go with Syracuse. The Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal stuff from December of 2000 is the most common and easy to get a hold of, but the quality aint so grand. 12/07/00 has the white rhino of "Montreal" but the gigs from smaller US shows sound much better. For great versions of the M@W stuff (but without the benefit of Chris and Kate) the Mush Music and Musique Plus I&I's are great.

(speaking of evil things clicking in... watch as Steve's mind won't let this opportunity pass without plugging his work)
A cool story you say? Why shucks, I just happen to have written about it:
"Montreal" played live in Montreal
On December 7, 2000, the day after the 11th anniversary of the massacre, The Tragically Hip played "Montreal" for the first time in nearly a decade inside Montreal's Bell Centre. The song had been slated to appear on 1991's "Road Apples," but was never released. In what is now perhaps one of the most famous stories in Hip lore, the band accessed
this website backstage so that Downie could re-acquaint himself with the lyrics before heading out before the crowd.
That 2000 version contains the line "She didn't care for... sending men to electric chairs" for added political bite. The bootleg of that recording remains one of the more sought after online, and the song itself remains the greatest piece of Canadian rock never released.
Both Toronto shows and the Hammer were stellar! I believe I have the 23rd show on CD, and it is my favorite boot I have. Best version of Long Time Running ever. Poets, Blow, Looking amazing as well, don't forget Boots or Hearts. W O W good show, great quality!
Mike
Ya, the first Toronto show (12-03-00) was my favourite boot.
yep, it was the show on the 3rd not the 23rd. You should seriously consider this one, 2nd set is awesome. Don't forget the Long Time Running, wicked ass version! Boots, Lake Fever, Wheat Kings!
I was at the Hamilton, Evening With show. I'd be interested in getting my hands on a boot of it.
hipfreak... pm me and we can set up a B&P for the hamilton show
I'll post Hamilton to the tracker this week.

2000-12-01 - Chicago
2000-12-02 - Detroit
2000-12-03 - Toronto
2000-12-20 - Buffalo
2000-12-21 - Hamilton
2000-12-23 - Toronto
I have more from 2000, but I can't remember which ones are Evening With... shows.
