My favorite is probably the Ottawa boot. The sound quality is sub-par at best, but that version of Flamenco with Kate Fenner is absolutely heavenly. Love how the crowd erupts after every verse she sings. That show also has the most intense version of Tiger the Lion EVER! I really hope that song makes it's way back into the setlist one of these days. MAv, do you know why they stopped playing that one? I'm just curious.
Here's what I got in terms of "Evening With" shows.....I do have a lot more from 2000, but these were the only shows on the "Evening With" portion of the tour...

What consitutes an Evening with show?

Any show in which the band played with no support act, were joined on stage with Chris Brown and Kate Fenner, and the show was divided into two sets plus an encore.

I need to throw in my support for two particular Evening With shows.

10/27/2000 - Fort Collins, CO: KILLER steve brown recording is all over the place. Just a kickass show all the way around. Great 1-2-3 punch opening of Music / Grace / Inch an Hour.

12/20/2000 - Buffalo, NY: jawdropping sound quality. The second set in particular is beautiful. Best instrumental-only Hiccups of all time. Lake Fever is spectacular. Best Toronto #4 ever. Luxury is perfect. Great great great show.
Those "Evening With" shows were so awesome, it was amazing I saw them in Hamilton on the 21st then in T.O on the 23rd, we stayed over in TO and partied like it was on sale for 19.99! That Hamilton show is still my top Hip show ever, hearing Opiated live for the first time was killer and I had an amazing seat, it was a perfect evening. Im looking forward to the dvd that Chris mentioned in another thread. Bring back some great memories that will.

Are you sure the Evening with Tour was ALL those shows? I thought it was only the Canadian (and few US Stops) leg of the tour. I was under the impression that Kate and Chris opened for the Hip on the US leg of the tour, then joined them on stage for their gig. I'm not sure, it was the only tour I didn't catch the Hip at their stop in Hamilton, but I'm pretty sure the "Evening With" campaign was not all of the 2000 shows they did.
Found this to help back up my post from above...

All of the shows listed up there were the "Evening With" shows except for: 10/11, 10/12, 10/13 and 11/14
The first half of the tour from like June until end of September were regular shows - private radio premiers, etc...
Then October until the end of December were almost all "Evening" shows.
Even the ones out West that were not listed as being "Evening With" ended up being an "Evening With", a nice surprise to the people that attended.

Here - check out the setlists: Only 4 out of 46 were not "Evening With"

The tour that kicked off in Rochester 10.02.2000 and went until 12.23.2000 is the Evening With tour. Almost every show in that timespan (including the U.S. shows that took place in clubs / theaters etc) followed the same format, that being a) two sets plus an encore, b) no opening act, and c) Chris and Kate onstage all night.
Bump:
I was listening to the Detroit show tonight (2000.12.02); and I have to say: wow. Phenomenal.

Why has Wild Mountain Honey been kicking my ass so much lately?
