Wow... So I've been away from civilazation for the last week, no papers, phones, news of any sort other than word of mouth. I had heard from some people about news of New Orleans and the hurricane. Didn't give it a lot of thought until I got off the kayaks, back to the main Van. Island and got myself a newspaper on Friday.
On the cover was a picture of a dead bloated body floating around with a coke bottle. The devistation of the whole thing set in as I was reading through the shit that was happening down there. Some of the first things that came to mind was the hip and their two New O songs. Would they play NOIS again? Would I ever hear NOIB? What does any of that matter when actually in New O this hell is unfolding?
