I thought it was rediculous when U2 announced thir ticket prices for the vertigo tour...But this guy puts them to shame!

Not only are ticket prices getting out of hand; the additional fees are outrageous. I just bought 2 tickets for The HDRC: tickets were $15 each, Convenience charge $7 each, Shipping $3.50, Total cost: $47.50 for 2 $15 tickets!!
ticketmaster is just getting ridiculous with their service charges. picking the tickets up at the tm outlet is the same as them mailing them to you. Why should anyone have to pay to actually pick the tickets up. A mailing fee i understand, but a fee for you to go to them and to pick them up

you have to take into account that it's Andrea Bocelli. He's an opera singer. A front row seat to see the Opera in NYC is 115 dollars.
I know when I used to go to shows in Montreal a lot I noticed how the ticket prices were like double what they were here. I asked my Candian Studies teacher I had my SR year in high school and he explained that the cities in Canada are few and far between in Canada so they have to travel more so they have to charge more for tickets.
Although the Can/Am Exchange rate isn't as lopsided as it used to be, you need to take that into account too.
Yah alot of country singers have high prices like that!

$115 USD is fine to sit front row in an opera house. $385 CDN ($350 US for the US dates) is outrageous to sit on a folding chair on the floor of a hockey arena to see any performer.
And with regards to it costing more to tour in Canada, resulting in higher ticket prices: it may cost more, but not to this extent. Especially considering he is only playing Toronto... not exactly a tour of Canada.

They have no competetors, they can charge whatever they want and nobody can do anything about it. I just think, instead of saying ticket prices are 15 and then adding another 10-12$ of charges, just freakin say the tickets are 25$...
Well they should be honest up front and include all the extra costs. Also, I agree its unfair to charge 4 dollars to pick up your tickets at will call.
When I bought my U2 tickets during the pre-sale I didnt even have the option for will call pick up. So I had to pick a mailing option. That cost me an extra 10 bucks.
My Oasis tickets were $19.50 each + $16 in charges. Why doesn't someone start a competitor to TicketBastard?
