So Valentines Day is here, time to see who's got the most embarassing story.
I once, after being rejected like a Canadian Idol hopeful with less talent than a teapot, told a girl: "well okay... you're a beautiful girl, have a beautiful life...bye." At 18, I thought that was Sinatraesque baby!
Another time, after a first date that included dancing to "Bobcaygeon" under the stars, (Yeah, I'll be available for ass-kickings between 3 and 5) I was sure I'd be hearing from this girl again. To my great satisfaction, a co-worker came up to me the next day with the old: "Hey man, there's somebody out there to see you!"
Giddy, I headed out to see my surprise guest...
Her boyfriend.
He wasn't happy... maybe I shoulda told him he was beautiful.
Love's a dead beat friend who makes you pay for its movie ticket, an acquaintance who doesn't count the third putt, a buddy who throws the gum wraper out the window. Love sucks... but sometimes you're happy it's there.
Happy Valentines Day.
It could be worse. You could have (unknowingly) gotten set up on a blind date with a Cartman look-alike, watch him suck down 4 or 5 Long Island Iced Tea’s and then have peanuts thrown at you.

General Lee Cartman (You Will Respect Ma Confeder-a-say!) or just regular Cartman? With the beard, I think he's kinda hunky.
He was more like Cheesy Poof Cartman.
I hooked up with one of my dad's secretaries at his retirement party a few months ago. We left the party together and went back to my place, yadda yadda yadda, and then when the evening was over, she jumped into a cab faster than you can say "one night stand" and took off without giving me her number or even saying goodbye. I felt completely and totally used. And it was great! Things like that don't happen to me very often, so when they do it's always kinda fun.
Other than little moments like that, my romantic life isn't exactly worth bragging about. It's been a long time since I was involved in a serious relationship. I hate Valentine's Day and everything it stands for. It's a bogus holiday invented by greeting card companies to make single people feel bad about themselves. Love sucks. Bah Humbug.
Cheers,
Casey

See ladies? It's as simple as that!
Quite noble of you to help out your old man with his annual Performance Reviews, Case! :thumb:

Haha! Well, it was the least I could do.

I dated the female version of this once. I took her out to dinner, and while I was in the bathroom she ate my food.
Ok, I've had plenty of weird things happen to me, but I'll give you three of my top ones.
The guy I dated, had sex with him a few weeks after we started dating, it was his first time, he didn't want to have sex ever again in the six months we were together and ended up being arrested for transmitting child porn two years after breaking up with me.
The guy from work I wanted to get to know better, went to his house and he tried to seduce me and it just wasn't working and then finally out of desparation because I hadn't had it in a while decided to give in and I couldn't go through with it and ended up saying STOP three times almost having to push him off me and then while getting my clothes on he asked "can I stick my dick in you?". He was my first attempt at a younger man. I was 29 and thought he was 26. I later found out he was 21! I was sick over it.
And the guy I met on Yahoo personals. For some stupid reason, hind sight is 20/20, I had him come pick me up at my apartment building on a friday. He showed up the following sunday with a red rose in his hand saying "I miss you". AFTER ONE DATE!

Thats the funniest thing I've heard/read all day!
The funniest hook-up date/mini-disaster occurred when I met a woman at the factory where I worked. I asked her out, took her to a holiday folk-fair and the highlight of the evening was being forced by my date to try on a traditional Swedish outfit. Needless to say, we didnt have a second date  However, I still had to work with this person and decided to try hooking her up with a friend who had more in common with her in musical taste, etc. I ended up being the third wheel because they didnt know each other and were too shy to ask each other out.So we did a road trip to Madison and had some fun hanging out in coffee bars and bookstores. On the way back, I crawled in the back and pretended to fall asleep so they could talk and get to know each other and witnessed my buddy John doing a perfect "fat guy in a little coat" impression from Tommy Boy. It got her laughing but she almost swerved off the road laughing so hard.

I can't believe he forgot to say "please". What a jerk.
My date and I (it was our second date) were driving down the highway to our destination for the evening (some little restaurant). In our discussion, I told her that I had a separate bank account that I put money in for when the Hip go on tour (this was years ago). She loved the Hip as well, which was one of the good points. She then proceeded to tell me that she TOO had a bank account that she put money into......... for breast implants. I turned the car around. There was no third date.

My funniest date would probably be with a real, live, witch.
I tried the online personals thing for a while, and ended up chatting with this girl one day. Well, somehow, I agreed to a date later on that *night*.
I met her at a club in Ottawa for some dancing, and didn't realize she was bringing her male friend with her, which was ok.
Slowly, over conversation, it comes out that her and her friend are Wiccan, which I think is kinda cool, alternative viewpoint, the whole deal.
But then, while we're dancing on the dance floor, she starts *casting spells!* to clear us some room. Like, moving her hand and blowing it and stuff..... I have never been so weirded out in all my life!
So, I go home deciding to not pursue a second date.
However, being stupid, I still chat with her on MSN or whatever..... and she found out that I was going out with some friends on Valentine's Day to a pub. She said she was going to crash it, whicfh I thought was a joke.
Nope, she and her friend showed up! I then tried to polietly ignore her the rest of the night, wondering if I was going to get turned into a frog........

Score! Did she print you up a receipt so your dad could write it off?
