He was my first attempt at a younger man. I was 29 and thought he was 26. I later found out he was 21! I was sick over it.

It's amazing how some guys think that this is the proper way to talk to a woman. A girl I know met a guy at the gym and during their first phone conversation he felt it was appropriate to tell her that he wanted to "ejaculate all over her toes." They hadn't even gone out on an actual date yet. Talk about a class act all the way.
For some reason, some men think that overtly degrading sexual comments turn women on. Ladies, if you actually find this appealing, please call me on it. However, I fail to see how a man could be considered attractive if one of the first things out of his mouth was a desire to penetrate yours, or some other such comment.
Talking dirty to your lover during sex is one thing, talking dirty to somebody you don't have a history with in order to get laid is quite bizarre. I know I'm going to sound old fashioned but I think alot of that has to do with the imagery and attitude some rappers have towards women. For example, its quite appalling in my opinion to hear some 20 year old punk in one of my classes tell a woman he wants to get with that she's got a fine booty that makes his soldier stand at attention and hear this female laugh and grin at him. Confusedcratch:
Actually, it's quite useful that some men behave this way, as it enables women to determine easily which end of the gene pool they're swimming in.

The alternative would be a lot of wasted time, now, wouldn't it?

I tried the online personals thing for a while, and ended up chatting with this girl one day. Well, somehow, I agreed to a date later on that *night*.
I met her at a club in Ottawa for some dancing, and didn't realize she was bringing her male friend with her, which was ok.

Slowly, over conversation, it comes out that her and her friend are Wiccan, which I think is kinda cool, alternative viewpoint, the whole deal.

But then, while we're dancing on the dance floor, she starts *casting spells!* to clear us some room. Like, moving her hand and blowing it and stuff..... I have never been so weirded out in all my life!

So, I go home deciding to not pursue a second date.

However, being stupid, I still chat with her on MSN or whatever..... and she found out that I was going out with some friends on Valentine's Day to a pub. She said she was going to crash it, whicfh I thought was a joke.

Nope, she and her friend showed up! I then tried to polietly ignore her the rest of the night, wondering if I was going to get turned into a frog........ Confusedhock:

Dude...I'm not kidding when I say that I think I know who you're talking about!!!! This lady used to work at a store that I would visit for work, and she indeed was a practicing Wiccan "witch"...and if it is who I think it is...lord have mercy on your soul...

I have yet to meet another woman who actually enjoys being spoken to that way. Yet, I seem to have no problem meeting guys who believe this is an acceptable practice on how to pick up women. But it must be working for some if they keep doing it - I am sure there are many girls out there with little to no self-esteem and enormous sex drives that just jump all over these freaks <shudder>. I'd say they just need some sense smacked into them but they would probably enjoy that too much.

It's probably more an issue of self-esteem than one of enormous sex drive. And for once I'm at risk of agreeing with ViolentRightHeron, but it's probably less a matter of hip-hop influence than it is with porn.

Porn is now so widely available that Internet porn could be said to be the primary sex education text available these days. Most people (one would hope) can distinguish between real life and a fantasy world in which a job as a pizza delivery boy is your ticket to an endless supply of spontaneous casual sex, but nonetheless the subtexts of porn seem to exert an influence.

To men, they say, "all women want sex, and they want it all the time. They're just pretending to be demure, but they are actually hungry for it. All you really need to do is whip out some cash or show off your car or get them drunk or say something filthy and they'll lose control. Try delivering pizzas with your fly open."

To women, they say, "if you want to be popular, you have to please him. Your role is to do what he wants. If you give men what they want, maybe you'll get what you want. It's not a big deal, just do it."

From there, it's fair to suggest that some people are susceptible to these ideas, and that accounts for some of the kooky behavior you see.

Not that people haven't always had strange ideas, but in days of yore, he would have waited until the wedding night to suggest novel activities involving her toes.

Maybe you come out ahead.

No pun intended....
Strangely, we agree somewhat on this issue. I think the hip-hop and porn aspect kind of go hand in hand with the message to women being if you want a man to love you you gotta give him sex all the time and be real freaky about it. I'm not a fundamentalist, porn can be fun to watch in certain contexts. Any sane person knows its just fantasy land stuff.
You may be right that porn and hip hop culture go hand in hand, as both are really just distorted reflections of widely held attitudes.

But I suspect we'd disagree on the solution, so we'd better not go there.

Well I failed to mention this guy was from another country! I think perhaps cultural and language differences were part of the problem.

My mother always told me to be careful because when a guy french kissed me he wanted something more and if he was holding me he was feeling something more than just love. Mom always warned me about the evils of men. I come from strong women, many of whom just happen to hate men. I'm strong but love men and I'm aware that men as well as women, can take advantage of the other sex.

There are shitty people everywhere. :x

get a life, and leave that hatin' for Satan boy, some girls iz just freaky and like to get down like that, i'm not sayin' I understand it either, but why do you gotta be talkin all that negative shit B? if the lady is cool with it, you should be too...unless you're a...PLAYA HATER! Tongue , yeah, it's 50 Cent's fault that you're easily offended by your own sex and bewildered by the other...next thing you know you're gonna be tellin' us it's Snoop's fault that marijuana usage amongst teens is on the rise . what the hell is this, a Republican convention? this is jokes.
Actually, the argument is far more complex than that.

We'll wait until you're out of high school to discuss it further.
