WOW, I am lucky to give myself one full day. But as I have demonstrated so well, I am not the model student!
I just handed in the paper, one exam to go, and get this: University Poli-Sci dept. policy is that all take-home exams and term papers have to handed in within a specified two hour window. All EARLY papers will be docked marks.
Is that the stupidest policy ever? Seems to undermine initiative... academic red tape is ridiculous... can't wait to get outta here!
I just finished my final exam last night...History: International Relations from War to War....I probably killed a few trees with the quantity of writing, but now its done, and then afterward I went for a stupid night of drinking with friends I hadn't seen in a while b/c of work and school...needless to say, it was stupid.

That's weird, last year I had an IR class and had to write the exact same essay... relations between the wars and how WW1 and Versailles caused WW2 etc. Where are you attending? Maybe Ontario's prof's are cribbing each others notes.

The course was all about the 1900-1945 period, but I guess I was unclear, the essay I wrote was about US foreign policy from that time period....funny though, at first I was gonna write about versailles and how it was unequitable, but my prof suggested I not focus entirely on Germany in terms of the Paris Peace Conference, and I didn't want to go into detail about the other minor treaties and the Italians and the adriatic, so I chose the US topic.

Did you Read "Paris 1919?" Helluva book, and it's amazing just how ethinicly-oriented and ass-backwards the most powerful men in the world were at the time.
...I wonder if in 80 years, folks will be saying that about our times.
Haven't read it though I think my dad has it kicking around somewhere, might make for some good holiday reading.
As for our time, I think some of our leaders are as you state, 'ass-backwards', and we won't have to wait 80 years to make that declaration.
