I am in a season of relaxing prior to exams. I just finished my last paper for this term (the morning of) last week. My first exam is this Saturday, so I'm takin' 'er easy. Review and all that jazz this week. Classes finish on Thursday. Glad to see I'm not the only procrastinator. Ohhh......my Christmas shopping isn't done yet either :thumb:
I find that when I'm trying to work on something like an essay or studying for an exam, I tend to start working on things that normally would seem like a chore, but are better than whatever it is that I should be doing.
For example, often times I'll be staring at a blank microsoft word document and I'll realize that I really should organize my desktop, or clean my room.
That way, at the end of the day I can say to myself, "well, I didn't write my term paper, but I *did* alphebetize my CD collection!"
Add Hipbase on top of that and you've just got a nasty combination.

Then I am free... so, it is so hard to get into it!
I have a 14 page essay ont he political economy of the media... Foreign dominance of the Canadian Media.
totally a pain in my ass!
Is Vincent Mosco a big source in your paper? I hate that guy... :x
Mosco was cleaned out of the library by the time I went looking. One fo the problems of having 400 people writing in only two different topics. Materials become scarce.
Wish me luck, its due tommorow and I have approximately zero words written

Yeah that is a common phenomenon of University life. However right now I have a pig-sty of a room, and Nothing to hand in... I suck!
A wise man once said "procrastination is the art of catching up with yesterday."

Good luck! but you've saved yourself A LOT of time by NOT having Mosco as a source!!
I have finished my unit plans!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm studying three weeks worth of stat. So... um. I suddenly feel less cheery. If I don't return to hipbase, it was confidence intervals that killed me. You have all been so wonderful.

 Unfortunately I can totally identify with that story. By the end of the day, the house will be spotless but I won't have made any progress whatsoever on the work I was supposed to do and I find myself wishing for an extra 24/48 hours to get it done.

Poor Jenna, you have my sympathy. Statistics really is horrible. Degrees of freedom, p, z, t, sample size, population..aaarrgghh - enough to give anyone nightmares. The funny thing is that I think I could really enjoy the subject if I weren't so frickin' bad at it.
Finals start tomorrow... But I only have 3 exams (thank God I'm a business major!)... Although, 2 are in Spanish, which is fun, especially since the first one is a conversation course, and I'll basically have to write dialogues..
And... I'm done in a week...
Finally done the essay! Better late then never, right? Now just the bibliography... Of course all I know is MLA and this jackass want Turabian! :x
Ugh..you all are scaring me right out of going back to college in January! After being out for 11 years, I am the perfect picture of procrastination.
I'm currently a) putting off cleaning, b)putting off studying for my finals, c) putting off christmas shopping.
Lots of procrastination going on here :thumb:

Be afraid, be very afraid.
Seriously though, that's an admirable thing to do, what made ya go back? Are ya gunna pledge?

<<shudder>> you're all giving me stressful flashbacks of university. Thank god that is behind me  Don't get me wrong, I loved the courses I took but I was a huge procrastinator and I hated that feeling of a looming deadline or the night before an exam. And I wasn't the type of student who could spend weeks prior to an exam studying. I could only cram a few days before or else I would just forget things. Lots of all-nighters and pots of coffee!
