The female person you have been communicating with may have had a relationship with Gord at some point. I feel there may be some sliver of truth in what was written. I am leaning towards the opinion that the contact she had with Gord or any others has been blown out of proportion in her own mind.

People are sometimes confused by their amourous feelings as this person is (ex: I love him...I don't love him...I should be with him... I moved to get away from him... he was always keeping tabs on me...I called him and he didn't want to talk). I could not have a serious relationship with someone who was constantly changing their feelings, and Gord may have had the same experience and left her behind. ( If any of this is true). Now she rehashes a moment that will not return and reads meanings into lyrics that are not there.

The reason I feel this way is what she wrote about the "Adrian Power" autograph and how she connected it to herself. On the many US tour stops that I have been to and met the band, Gord D. will personalize an autograph to the person who wants it. ShannonW from this forum had a setlist signed "Shannon's Show" by Gord. He has done the same for me by including my name in the short note he writes on memorabilia that he signs. So in the case of the "Adrian Power" autograph, Gord knows it's the name of her ex-boyfriend, he knows that Adrian will scan the autograph and post it on the Hipbase, he knows that she will see it and find the hidden meaning in it that was only meant for her, and the possibility that Gord wrote that only for the enjoyment of the fan who requested it never crosses her mind.

Brazle, you were right to stop the lines of communication when she asked for your phone number. That was a little creepy for me. I think she was trying to play on your interest in Hip lyrics and used some long ago meeting with Gord and some little known details to perk your curiosity.

As the old saying goes... BUYER BEWARE.

And this story, it's pretty far fetched so my guess is that it's not true. But if it were, I think it's so sad how Lord Brazle betrayed her like that. Maybe the reason why she asked to call you was because she wanted to make sure you were who you said you were. After all, she was pouring her heart out to you.
