Did Gord look slightly heavier than usual (his road diet = more than beer and gum?), or was it just that his hair was longer than usual?

I mean, have you run out of anything better to talk about? Seems rather vain and completely unimportant.

I agree completely. This was not a Hip concert, it was a mix of all folk.
Many people in the stands were clearly not interested in Gus, but did perk up a bit when the more familiar Courage was performed.
On the plus side, they did give away free CDs post game (Featuring Gus, and Josephine).

I haven't opened it yet, but the type on the back states: "From the Universal compact disc: "IN BETWEEN EVOLUTION", so I have to assume that they're studio tracks.

The Hip clearly are in a no win situation. IF they play the popular hits, they get bashed for it and if they play a song like Gus they get bashed for not sticking to a Hip staple song. Let them play whatever the hell they want. Who gives a rats ass if those people in Ottawa didn't like Gus? The Hip don't have to pander to them. They can play whichever song they please. My opinion is that they had a great performance and if it didn't convert fans, then nothing will. If someonen judges a band solely on two songs performed on a halftime show, they more than likely won't like the band anyway.
ALL HAIL THE HIP AND THE WRISTBAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, in response to Billy, Gord's weight is of course a silly topic, but if I can't mention it in here, where the hell can I??
And in my defence I have contributed to numerous *weighty* analysis of lyrics and whatnot. Why, I'll bet I posted the single longest analysis of NOIS in history a while back.
The 'why Gus' controversy seems silly to me. But then, how anybody can NOT like Gus eludes me, so what do I know?

The song selection was fine...2 great LIVE songs...Johnny really looked on top of it....his playiing impresses me more every time I see him. Robbie screwed up the Gus Solo however. I thought it was very good, better than most pop crap the superbowl has done, with the exception of the U2 performance a few years ago...I remember tearing up during that one. Gord D seems to be screaming a lot. I hope his voice isn't shot. Turn up the mic, so he doesn't feel like he has to scream. 8 of 10...for a impromptu 2 song concert.

Is it possible that Gord seemed bulky because he had some t-shirts on under the button down?
