I was thinking. If they were to make a movie about the tragically hip who would play each band member?
I know there was a Gord Downie look a like contest on a website where people would email in their nomination for which actor looked most like Gord. I'd love to know who you think, looks wise, would play each of the band members if they made a movie. I think it would be fun.
Rob would be played by Crystal Gayle.

I was thinking, acting wise and lookswise, with a little make up and some contacts, I really think Jude Law would make an awesome Downie.
And I think Nathan West, a guy who was in the movie "Miracle" would make a great Johnny with of course some contacts and such. He's a bit young but Johnny never seems to get old.

Okay, if Hollywood ever decided to do this movie, here's how it would run; the movie is about "The Tragically Hip", an international anti-terrorist group who are fashionable yet bad to the bone. Bruce Willis as Gord Downie, Colin Ferrell (with long hair) as Bobby Baker, Steven Seagal (minus 60 pounds of neck) as Johnny Fay, Ben Stiller as Gord Sinclair and, yes, Clint Eastwood as Paul Langois. It would center around them balancing their personal lives with their super-secret profession; assassinating would-be terrorsists, while still having time to gallivant around the city's nightlife in expensive suits.
It would have models who can't act worth shit as the love-interests and would end with Bruce Willis going mad because he couldn't diffuse the bomb that killed his wife Susan, played by Lindsay Lohan. Also, the comic relief; Ben Stiller going to the doctor about a problem with his neck.
It would make millions in the box-office and spawn lunchboxes and t-shirts but would be forgotten in 2 years.
