I love the Yankees

Oh man, I could write a book with all the reasons there are....But yeah, the most recent would definately have to be that jackass Rodriquez. Now that they have both him AND Jeter on the same team, how could you not hate them?

Um...they raise none of their own talent in-house but buy up big names from elsewhere. Watching people develop into stars is half the fun of sports. The other half is wondering if, not when, your team will win it all. The Yankees and their fans are so arrogant they whine about not winning the World Series since 2000. Even Red Sox fans are more patient than that!

I hate the Yankees because they are going to beat my Red Sox tonight.

It's just cool to hate the Yankees!

I dont like the players on that team, too smug. The Yanks remind me of the NY Rangers, except they win. And I hate the Rangers too! I like to see different teams win the series, Im not a hard-core baseball fan to begin with, but I enjoy watching a good ball game, like the playoffs. I dont have a favorite team so I just like to see other teams get a shot besides NY. I have to respect an owner who will stop at nothing to win though. But 252 million for 1 player is retarded. :rambo:

Ok, not really. I think it's a tossup. The BOSOX have the momentum, but the Yanks have homefield advantage. Gotta think that it will be one great game to watch. Can't wait!

Steinbrenner is a crook and a thug.

They have an unfair advantage in that their revenues greatly dwarf everyone else's.

Jeter is incredibly overrated (Horrible Esthete - Jeter has had a couple of great seasons - I won't argue that - but for the most part he's a .310, 20, 80 man and that won't get you into the Hall of Fame).

Sheffield is an admitted steroid user (sorry, but "I didn't know" is a pretty weak defense).

The Incredibly Shrinking Giambi and his mystery virus kinda leads one to assume he's used his fair shair of 'roids.

A-Rod is the biggest two faced d*ck in sports - remember "I like the direction the Texas Rangers are going" and "I don't want to join the Yankees, I want to beat the Yankees"?

Mussina's a big baby - when they had a ceremony to honour Tom Cheek in Toronto earlier this season Mussina whined that the delay in the starting the game messed up his rhythm. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

I don't mind Matsui and Bernie, and Rivera seems like a good guy. But that hardly outweighs all of the Evil on that team, and the Evilness of the guy who runs the ship.

The only time I've ever cheered for the Evil Empire was last year's world series; The Marlins were owned my Jeff Loria, the former owner of the Expos, and basically when he ditched Montreal and joined the Marlins he stole all the Expos' staff, equipment, facilities for Spring training and computers...So I couldn't cheer for that guy, so I cheered for the Yanks, though I didn't especially mind seeing those losers walk off the field at Yankees Stadium to Sinatra's 'New York New York'...that was enjoyable.

I'm a Twins fan and it's hard to get behind a team with 180million+ payroll when the home team isn't even pushing 60.

I was going to put up may favorite Yankee bashing article of all time from the Onion. It's called "Yankees Ensure 2003 Pennant By Signing Every Player In Baseball" Ahh well I still have the picture from it saved on my pc.
