OK it's been 9 months since Jen started this thread, and I'm bumping it to give all her Hipbase friends an update on her progress. She would never do this herself because she is far too modest, but I will because I'm extremely proud of her. 8)

She has a perfect 4.0 so far! Her first semester starting in January was Chemistry (which she was scared to death of), Anatomy & Physiology I + Lab, and Psychology. She finished with a perfect 4.0 in every single class and made the Dean's List. She had the highest grade in her class in all three classes!

She is currently taking A&P II + Lab in a super-accelerated 5-week summer session, and she has a 4.0 in that so far as well, including the 108% (with bonus points) on her midterm that she just brought home last night Confusedhock: ...We're running out of room on the fridge LOL

In summary, she is KICKING ASS AND TAKING NAMES :rambo:

I'm so proud of her, and I want everyone to know, even if she does get pissed at me for making a fuss on Hipbase Tongue Tongue Tongue
Wow, I knew she was doing well but I didn't know she was doing THAT well. Congratulations Jen! and thanks Bill for putting her in the spotlight, everybody needs that from time to time. :thumb:

Bean,

From what I understand, the total credit hours required for the degree is about 80. A Bachelor's degree is not required to be an RN down here, you just need an Associate's degree and then of course you have to pass the NCLEX to be an actual RN. I think the difference is that down here we are not required to take as many liberal arts classes as you apparently are (that may be because we have such a huge shortage of nurses down here). But I would guess that the actual number of NURSING courses required is probably the same as up there in Canada.
