Just reading over some of these posts... Firstly, I am anti-humanity. I have not seen one positive quality in a single individual in my whole life. Before I go bashing one specific "leader" or "nation" I'm looking at our condition in general, man. F**kin every day thousands of kids fall down dead from completely-curable diseases while we sit over here (in the "free" world) like fat-cats with 2 cars and wasting like tons of f**kin food per week. I don't give a $h!t about an American kid who shoots a couple class-mates because they made fun of him every single f**kin day of school and I don't give a f**k about a supposedly-malfunctioning president. Everyone works their whole lives just to live, never actually live, then die and a whole other generation picks up the gaunlet. It's f**ked. I don't vote. I've never voted. I never will vote. And not because I'm a slacker and I'm lazy (which I really am) but because why does it matter? No problems are solved. Nothing is ever different. The environment is slipping. We can build 50-million-dollar rocketships and spend a couple 100-million on a f**king movie but we can't stop polluting. Nothing is worth the short life I have to live so I spend it on nothing. Everything just comes and f**kin goes. People dream of making a difference but never do. Everyone's just mimicking everyone else. You may not think you are but you are. There are very few free-thinkers left in the world. Now who's got that joint?! I got myself all pissed-off....
'ere dude...takit! Watch it, there's a runner.....
god forbid a dick like micheal moore could do no wrong!

Not that anyone asked, but here's my opinion: why would anyone care what that knob Ben Affleck has to say? Can you imagine making your voting decision based on what that pinhead says?
I don't think that the proportion of Canadians against Bush is consistent with the proportions of Americans against him. I recall seeing a recent poll where if Canadians were to vote Kerry would win with approx 68% or something like that. Can't recall where I saw that though. Doesn't really matter I suppose.
Mostly I just wanted to comment on the second part there. I totally agree with you, why should anyone care what Ben Affleck says about politics? Same goes for any entertainer, Pearl Jam, Springsteen, Toby Keith... The Hip..., etc. etc.
It's fine if they feel it necessary to voice their opinions on the matter and lend support to the parties they support, but why should their opinion be any more important than the dude who runs the coffee shop down the street or some guy working in Wal-Mart. Just because they have a built in audience that will listen to them does not make their opinions any more educated than the next guys. Personally I'd rather take my cues from people with more qualifications than "rock band singer" or "actor", or even better, do some thinking of my own and form my own opinions.
It scares me to think that eligible voters out there are basing their vote on what their favorite actor says about it.
exactly. these artists are assholes for telling people it's important to vote....then telling them who to vote for. all these pearl dixie earl springstien bitches. it one thing to have an opinion, but suck up a republican pres. for one fucking tirm.
as far as micheal moore, he works for the democrates!! film maker my ass. why wouldn't that be so hard to believe. there are no consiracy theories on that one. if there was a republican moore, he would be cast as the devil and a "redneck hick white trash racist". moore is full of shit half the time and everyone buys into ANYTHING anti-bush with out reading into the truth. kerry is playing the liberal angle like theres no tomorrow, but he is less liberal than harper.
besides, why are so many fucking canadians on this bush bandwagon....grow up ya'll.

Ya.. that's what I was getting at, all those guys are assholes.
I thought this quote was pretty funny and fitting for here:
"If you're listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you're a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because we're morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal. Besides, when I read the list of people who are supporting Kerry, if I wasn't already a Bush supporter, I would have immediately switched. Linda Ronstadt? Don Henley? Geez, that's a good reason right there to vote for Bush."
--Rock star Alice Cooper
oh ya, and this one too from Camron Diaz when she was on Oprah, just reeks of pure, informed, brilliance:
Ms. DIAZ: We have a voice now, and we're not using it, and women have so much to lose. I mean, we could lose the right to our bodies. We could lo--if you think that rape should be legal, then don't vote. But if you think that you have a right to your body, and you have a right to say what happens to you and fight off that danger of losing that, then you should vote, and those are the...
I'm sure there's some context to this last quote that I'm missing, at least I hope there's something I'm missing, cause I mean we all know that if you women don't get out there and vote, rape will be legalized. But hey, context doesn't mean anything right, after all this is a thread about Mr. Moore.

 That's a classic quote right there. I'm putting that on a shirt!
