I DID weasel my way into the press conference and the guys seemed nice and relaxed. Very proud to be able to be doing this type of service for Kingston! I hope all of Kingston (Queen's RMC and all surrounding areas) show the HIP how proud we are to have them here!!!
Our family won the very first pair of tickets off of KROCK our radio station, and we just ordered a whack more on ticketmaster! this is going to be THE best HIP show so far!!
I hope to meet up with some of you ever faithfuls and share some HIP stories before the show!
happy counting down!!

Its going to be a great weekend. Returning to the stomping ground of undergrad and all the fun it involved.
Anyone hear how the stage is going to be set up?

The QEA--Queen's on campus production company--was planning on submitting a rather ambitious bit to land the Hip for homecoming which had absolutely no chance of succeeding. Every QEA manager tries to get the Hip, and none have succeeded in a long, long time; I worked there for four years, and I've heard a lot about it. Last year they tried getting Blue Rodeo for homecoming and that fell through, so I can't imagine what their chances were of successfully getting the Hip.

Looks like about 10 of us will be coming down from Ptbo for the show. My fourth Hip show of the summer - and 2nd with the Spades! Another shout out to these guys - their CD produced by Gord Sinclair's now out and available via their website at www.thespades.ca.
Can't wait to see the venue at RMC - was just at a conference with a couple of guys from there and the whole campus is pumped. Saw Blue Rodeo/54-40/Sarah Harmer at the Fort a few years ago. Fantastic show with the close proximity of the lake.

I'll be there, with bells on.... Just don't know whether I should wear the Hipbase T or the IBE jersey that I picked up on Canada Day!
