i want to know if this is true, sounds true, or if anyone can confirm/deny or add to this, but here's what i have heard from a few other hip fans is Gord's preshow ritual:
before he is about to go on stage, he always has the same $400 dollar bottle of Whisky (Scotch i believe), he drinks some of it, gets all fired up and ready to play the show, then smashes the bottle and goes out to play.
anyone else ever hear anything about this?

Okay so either he magically renews the bottle back to it's former unbroken structure and waits for the next show to break it? or maybe he sits there for three hours and glues the
same bottle back together again to bust it before the next show?
He meant the same

i've been backstage around Gord prior to a show...when i had press priviledges...I didn't see anything like that going on. He paces, and paces, and paces, and paces...but that was just once that I was backstage before a show. I know they've done more than one show!
I think your friend has mistaken Gord for Ja Rule, Gord pacez the floor and sayz Fuck me....
maybe he does the drinking smashing/before the pacing...or maybe it's something he used to do, or maybe he just did it once and somebody thought to themselves "hey, maybe he does this before every show" *shrugs*

I know with 100% certainty that his alcohol of choice is none other than Jack Daniels #7...I had the pleasure of finishing off the remainder of his 26er (or fifth for you American folk) with him after the Sudbury show last weekend.
I saw the entire rider for the band and there was no mention of any scotch...just Jack, Heineken, Canadian and Stella...non booze related items included water (obviously), gatorade and various chocolate bars....oh and 3 x-large pizzas after the show.

y'know, it's too bad that the preshow ritual i posted isn't true, because it sounds pretty kick ass.
....sounds ridiculous..IMO
