For those of you who do not know who Cameron Tomsett is, he is the amazing artist who created the "In Between Evolution" artwork.

In my opinion he has helped create the best album packaging and booklet that the Hip have ever had. This is exactly the kind of artwork that should represent this diverse band. The cover folds out to an awesome 3 page spread, Inside are great portraits of the band and he even went as far as doing artwork to represent every song on the album.

Not only is the album artwork great, but he did stuff for the new Hip website and the awesome Vaccination Scar video.

So, here's congratulations to Cameron for making our cool band even a bit cooler.

Cheers.
Need I say anything? Well said.

Cheers.
Agreed. Best. Hip. Booklet. Ever. For me it has edged out Fully Completely as best booklet ever and is tied with TATH for best cover.

I love the story of how he walked up to Bobby Baker and asked him to come and look at his work. Certainly set off a life changing turn of events. Imagine having Hip Album Art and Video in your portfolio.
the art is awesome!! I love every little pic but the portrait on the inside cover is my fav :thumb:
Really well said everyone... I love the colours alone ! The portraits and song titles and over all yes the cover is striking !

Very good representation of how I feel about the Hip!
Beauty!! :thumb:
Agreed...from cover to cover (and including the VS video), this is the best all-round package yet.

Great job Cameron! :thumb:

Awesome stuff! Okay, is it just me...or does the inside portrait of Gord Sinclair remind anyone else of a monkey?? Smile

Funny! Actually to me it looks like he is about to burst out laughing.

As abstract as the portraits may be, Cameron has captured each one of thier personalities very well.
If you haven't checked out his website yet, it is a must --> www.tomsett.com

Amazing stuff, he has a couple portraits up there of other acts including Radiohead, Dave Matthews and the Chili Peppers.

The art itself is great, I would love to own one, I can't imagine what they must cost.

Great stuff, I agree, best hip booklet ever

Today is better than christmas

:thumb: Cameron, you really did a fantastic job! The portraits of the guys are the best part. There really are alot of wild and weird characters you have created. It will take me a week or more of reading the booklet before I have truely seen and noticed everything.

The Hip's lyrics and music are fantastic, but you have added value to the product with your artwork.
im getting a tatoo of that wierd dude with wings....
