He eats out with his wife at romantic restaurants in Toronto all the time. They've been known to frequent "Peter Pan" on Queen West - and she always orders for him.
As well, there are reports all the time in Toronto magazines and newpapers of Gord and his family being out at social events.
And hey, I'm an aquarius too

Quote:I'm watching the concert right now with out buffering, thank god, and I'm finally getting Gord's rants.
Anyone else getting some kinda of anger at his wife vibe from these rants? Kinda a divorce vibe?
"Swim honey, not to me not to him, swim"
"the spare room in the basement will be fine."
"Let's just put it on ice and talk about it later....Just wanna lay down next to you baby...."
"Am I overreacting, do you realize how many people this is impacting?"
"these years here, dear"
This is my take on the concert, I thought that most or some of his rants were definitely about SARS:
Grace Too:
Am I over reacting, don't you know how many people this impacting
Courage:
Let me explain this to you courage, because your a fuckin' friend of mine, you should have been here 3 or 4 months ago when all this shit was letting go, every god damn bussinesson our block ever shop in a row......you'd swear, you'd swear, you'd swear, you'd swear, we've never seen that stranger around here.
After reading the discussion about gord and his wife, i remembered hearing a rant in Bobcaygeon, and I thought this rant was pretty interesting.
Bobcaygeon:
I'll come back and marry you.... If you don't, I'll marry you...Don't say it baby, Don't say it baby, but I have to, I Love you.
just my 2 cents, what do you guys think,

I totally agree that Gord's rants at the SkyDome show were about SARS. Gord is a smart guy, and involved in his adopted home of Toronto.
In late 2002, he ranted about "The Luminous Vale" which is a guard/fence that was installed in Toronto along the Bloor Street Viaduct to prevent people from committing suicide.
Local news for his neighbourhood, and it came up in his rants. A lot of fans (casual and hard core alike) think that his rants are jibberish, random words strung together to fit a song, but I disagree. Topical thoughts about the word he lives in. I doubt that they are always about him and his family, but probably someone close to him. Someone who may be in the audience?
All this talk of rants, and Gord performing has got me pining for a concert tour!!!

One of the new BNL songs "War on Drugs" is about that very same thing...interesting how current events shape art.

That talks a bit more about The Luminous Veil.

Well untill I meet an Aquarius who proves me wrong, I have a thing against aquarians. I had an ex who was a virgo and had an thing against virgos till I realized one of my best friends since elementary school was a virgo! lol
I just need to realize people are people not matter what. Like us scorpios, we're not supposed to get along and some of my best friends are scorpios.
As a side note: I have the entire show now! YAY!

There are many other bridges, but as the article points out, impulse jumpers will be deterred. And the other bridges don't have quite the same grandeur of the Bloor Street Viaduct.
-----------
And hey, thipfan73, you say you have a thing against Aquarians, but yet you started a thread about your lust for Gord?
This is getting confusing.

That is true, but there's a bridge on broadview, and it's pretty high.

Well I can still think he's hot, he writes great lyrics, has a great voice. He's unattainable, he is just a fantasy. I don't know him in real life and don't have to so therefore, I can still lust after him. Looks aren't everything.
I'd just be real careful getting into a nother relationship with an aquarian.
I think we might need to talk.
and here I thought I had a chance...
