Story in the Ottawa paper about tickets - one guy is holding four hotel rooms in Kingston in hope to swap for tickets. I'm guessing scalper will also be making restaurant reservations and selling those. How about parking around the rink? Maybe rent a lot for the night and jack up the pricing.

I assumed they were already open.

Very odd. The map I see on ticketmaster appears to show the rear stage blocked off and it has infuriated me from day 1. I hope yours is right.

Behind the stage should be the hipbase section!

Don't hate you. Just jealous. My S/O would slaughter me if I dropped that kind of money on it.
I hear ya brother. Good news bad news type of year for me. Bad news- split from my old lady. Good news- nobody to tell me I can't attended the most important concert in my life. I have struggled with the purchase. I have been obsessed with checking ticketbastard and Snubhub for days. I tell myself I work hard(65-70 hrs a week) My son is grown and finished College. However the only fact that really matters is that this is the last Tragically Hip concert. I need to be there one last time.

I agree
Where's this kickstarter that my ol' buddy LizardKing said he would start?
Get me a ticket, I'll personally print out all letters for the band and make sure they get them. I'll live upload videos and pictures of the day. I'll be the best Hipbase reporter any show has ever seen! :music :music

I'm kidding.

Kind of.

Bonner, you don't have a ticket! I would've expected you to be more vocal about it.

People who smoke a pack a day spend approx $500- $600/month on cigarettes (Manitoba Prices $18/pack)) so I told myself if I spend that much on a ticket to see my favorite band play one last time and witness Canadian music history... it's money well spent to me. I'll spend like a smoker for a month (or two).

Solid logic. It's funny how relieved I feel now that I bought the ticket. Money comes and goes but The Tragically Hip will be a part of me for the rest of my life. I was 19 when I saw the Hip for the first time. I will be 46 the last time. I feel lucky to have had them along for the ride. Hell or high water boys. See ya in Kingston!

You just gave me the fuel I needed thank you.
Unfortunately in the grand scheme of things I'm just starting out. I'm only on year two of my first 'big boy' job, and I still don't make that much.

Trying to keep moving up, but 'in this economy!?!', 'yada yada', $1000 dollars is out of my reach.

There is nothing I'd rather spend $1000 on than a ticket to the final Hip show. Wtf was I thinking not getting a Platinum. I was blinded by my Hipstory buying Hip seats!

Just pull out a credit card and go for it, yeah this is normally stupid advice but these are desperate times. You gotta lot of life left to go SB you dont want this to haunt you later on.

1000 bucks, 100 bucks a month for less than a year.. come on. Get a line of credit, the interest is less on those.

Eat KD for a month!

Rob a store!

Sell your body, do something!

If you dont, well fuck me I just might do it for you.
sean.bonner Wrote:Wtf was I thinking not getting a Platinum.

I have been kicking myself for a week now asking the same question. I could have bought 2 front row floor seats for $575 each and had the peace of mind of having a great seat for the last show and knowing it it was a legit ticket from ticketmaster, but at the time thought $575 was crazy. I was also worried about finding someone to use the other seat at that price but I know now that would have been an easy sell.
