So what are everyone's thoughts?
I'm bartending right now and just snuck in the back room for three minutes to hear it. Absolutely loving it. Classic Hip sound of the late 90s/early 00s in my opinion.
Exciting over fair or the right thing at the right time.
I like it. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album. Digging Kevin Drew's production on this single — it's evident.
Think I've played it ten times already. So amped for this album now!
I like where this is flowing going.....

Wow, excellent tune. Best song I've heard from them since IBE. #stillgotit
Great f'n song. That is all.
I love it. BSS vibe is strong, yet Das Hips shine through- STRONGLY.
Three listens and I like it more with each spin. The production on this track is certainly unique by the hip's standards, especially on the drum sound. Also, is it just me or is there no hihat in the mix? Maybe Johnny isn't playing hihat, just sounds odd to me I guess.
really like the song, the Mullet Baby... not so much.
Maybe its just me but i get a My Music at Work vibe for some reason...haha... liking what i'm hearing though for sure, makes me excited for the album.
Interesting track. I hear a lot of BSS, especially in the build. Kevin Drew's fingerprints all over this one.
A very heavy personal element too. Downie's rumoured divorce seems to be the key theme here, especially in the video.
Overall, I dig the moody element and the build is great. I was waiting for the song to explode in a classic, crunchy, snarling "Hip" kinda way, but they seem to have held back. Nevertheless, interested to see where this album goes.
Just rolled out of bed and listened to the track. First impression was lyrics so-so, music really great, has the feel of Broken Social Scene in it - given that they are my favourite band, my ear is tuned in that direction. Seems like you folks heard the same thing. I did not know K.Drew was involved in this album at all - thought he only worked on Gord's solo album that has yet to be released.
Definitely still sounds like the Hip, and I can already picture the song played live. I'm stoked.
