I just got back from Ivor Wynne, stage is up.the pictures I posted are from where I am sitting in Box D Row 1.Soundboard is to the right, and they are setting up vidoe gear to my left.both areas have tents set up over them thus blocking partially the first 5 rows of both Box C an D.A asked the Metalworks boss about it and he reassured me that a plan is in order if those tents have to stay up,made it sound like a floor upgrade was the plan! My seat is a foot from where the red tape sits and will be setting up my video gear right there in the corner,so stop and say hi!

any idea of the floor seat plan, how the seats are numbered? Looks like ~15 seats/row but with the split I'm curious where my row 7, seats 17 & 18 are actually gonna be.

Haven't been so excited for a Hip show since Dublin in '02...or maybe MLG in '96...or maybe KW a couple years ago...

Damn I wish I didn't have a gig tomorrow night. I'd make the trek from Detroit if I didn't have to play... SRB and the HIP.... gonna be one for the books

I'm sure it'll be heavy on songs from the new album, but it would be cool to finally hear them bust out something other than the typical summer festival greatest hits set. The U.S. tour is starting soon, and there's no way they could play that same boring set for 2 straight months through the States. That would just be so utterly disappointing and sad.

I really think that we can expect the same old set list as the summer shows minus a couple hits and add a few more from the new album. The way I see it the Kensington Market shows were kind of like a warm up to this show. We will hear the same 8 songs off Now For Plan A plus Ahead By A Centruy, Bobcaygeon, Grace Too, Music @ Work. Add in something like New Orleans Is Sinking, Poets, Blow At High Dough, In View and you have your set list. I don't even anticipate something like Nautical Disaster or Three Pistols. I really really really hope I am wrong but I have a very strong feeling it'll be the same old show, especially since it is a 'special event' Farewell to Ivor Wynne show. Never thought The Hip would turn into this sort of live band but hopefully they prove me wrong tonight and throughout the USA tour.
Might be a tuque and gloves kind of night...supposed to go down to 5 C
yep, sick of those setlists as well. i use poets,700ft,MAW as beer, washroom breaks.
being an old guy and hip fan from empty venues days I've seen it all and these setlists need to get back to
the days when you could do multilpe shows and have diverse setlists.
Speaking of memories

this show at Dallas on Barton st is still regarded as one of the largest police calls in city history.
no charges were ever laid as police said all witnesses and participants were just to drunk to ever sort anything out.
Gotta love the hammer. If my memory is correct i think and correct me if i'm wrong the hip played with forgotten rebels that night

Will be there tnight. look for me in the beer line during any of the above songs
And it sure will be cool out but thankfully dry
Enjoy the evening.

i wish! this is someone elses picture,,,I am hosting preparty if you can make it Dana!
Trying to figure out where my seats are. From the pic BIGVDOGG just posted, does the numbering in the rows go from left to right or right to left? We're in Row L of Section 25 (economics took over for this one). The question is, is seat one in the rows of Section 25 closer to Section 26 or Section 24?
BIGVDOGG the wife and I will come to the preshow fun. What time will it be starting at? You say its a 5 min cab ride to the venue, well are we allowed to keep our vehicle parked at the bar and cab it to the show? See ya there.
