I just bought The Cults "Choice Of Wepon" on Itunes. Not bad at all. Other than the fact that song 3 "The Wolf" wont download for me, The entire album is very listenable to, Id say the best they have done in since Ceremony. AND at $7.99 its a steal compared to other new releases.

I seen them on Q this past sunday and really liked their performance of Synthetica, I can't say i know alot about Metric but I'm gonna check this new cd out.
Loving the new Grace Potter and the Nocturnals release. Anybody else check it out?

Not yet, but it's on my list. Great band.

I'm loving it too! It's got a great vibe.
Loving Billy Corgan's new SP project "Oceania." Oh man. I just love all this new SP stuff. I can't stop powering along to the lead track "Quasar." RIiiiiiiiiiiiiiight on!
Disappointed with the Metric album. Maybe it grows on you?
Also mixed feelings about Silversun Pickups "Neck of the Woods." Anyone else? Granted it's hard to follow the mosterous masterpiece that was Swoon.
Forgot to add Bry Webb's (The Constantines frontman) beautiful, stripped-down and low-key acoustic album "Provider." I saw him when he came by Winnipeg here and it was a very warming show.
I know it came out last year, but still. Listen up! :p

You're not the only one - the new Metric isn't making me swoon at all and I've given it a few listens.

Ron Hawkins has a double album coming out this fall with his new band The Do Good Assassins.
I've heard a few songs live and this one is going to be very special.

Awesome news! I've enjoyed everything Ron has done, so I'm really looking forward to this.

Yeah...don't like their early stuff either. But they came into being in a huge way with Fantasies.
I can see where they are going with Synthetica but it's a big step down. It feels unfinished.

Makes me worried - this is the same producer and engineer as the new Hip album.
I have the Tea Party's new double live album on pre order. Should be arriving next week.
